Angry Sygic Stays in Download, can not use!

So I just got my Samsung 4.0 this week and Im loving it. Downloaded a buntch of apps, seeing what I like best.

Anyways, I saw Sygic offline GPS on the Android Market, installed it, opened it and it asks me to install maps. I install only D.C and Maryland maps and it takes about 15 mins. After it gets installed, it takes me back to the Sygic Downloader screen to download more maps.

I go back to the list and all it shows is that D.C and Maryland are at 100%. It has two tabs at the top one for summary and download page and both are useless. There is a continue button at the bottom but that doesn't do anything. I tried everything, every button press and nothing happens.

I know Im not suppose to download all of North America b.c I've seen people in the forums download only their state. Is there something Im missing? I've restarted the player but still nothing.

THanks.

I had this problem once. I have no idea why it happened, but uninstalling and reinstalling fixed it.

In such cases it usually helps to clean the cache of the app.

Haha I clear my ram everytime I stop using my Andriod. I guess Im crazy about getting the most out of my battery. Of course its not harmful to do that often now is it?

I'll tried reinstalling it but its doing the same thing. Its still at the downloader screen even after I already have the two map packs. All it lets me do is either download more or remove maps. >.<

If you're trying to save battery, you shouldn't use sygic

I tried Sygic, but thought it used too much juice, and didn't want to pay $20 for a map of Texas. Using Navfree, works fine (but not quite as nice as Sygic)

I tried deleting the folder Aura Sygic and deleted everything so it completely uninstalls. But when I downloaded again, it gave me an error during download that it could not download a certain file, but it kept on downloading everything else. Thats probably why it doesnt install correctly.

Yeah I tried NavFree when I went back home and its decent just ugly and not well structured. The search for address's is a joke. It gives me 4 options of the same city, and no matter what city I choose, it can not find numbered streets (17th Ave for example) to save it's life. The only way I can actually input an address is if Im connected wifi and do a google search. Has anyone else had this problem?

RAM isn't cache. To clean the cache of an app go to settings > applications > manage applications.

I never had an issue with Sygic other than cost. I don't use Nav enough to justify it. I do remember the map download taking forever (like 45 minutes, on fast wifi). All I can think is your downlaod is getting interrupted, or you're not waiting long enough. I also hear that Copilot works well (and costs much less).

Yeah I will probably stick with NavFree for now and probably check CoPilot out so I can get a nice Garmin pretty looking GPS going on haha.

Thanks for help everyone =)

That's just how it is. It cannot search for addresses without data.

Alright thanks everyone for your input =)

So FreeNav was the only one successful on my device. I wanted to try this other one called WisePilot, but everytime I want to search something the keyboard never comes up o.O
