Default Need a new mp3 player
I'm looking for a new mp3 player, the one that has stood out for me so far has been the Cowon S9.

Here is a list of what I would like:

SQ is my main concern
Needs to be durable or have a case i can get for it thats durable
Smaller if possible, but sq is still priority
at least 16GB
Not too concerned about price

That's pretty much it, Thanks!

The players with top notch SQ are the Cowons. The S9 is a nice device, but a little old now. Since price isn't an issue, then you should seriously consider the Cowon J3, the successor of the S9. Take a look at the ABi review of the J3.

Another option you could consider if you want something smaller is the Sansa Clip+ with a microSD card and Rockbox if you want a smaller, simpler, cheaper, and more durable device still with great SQ.

If the memory isn't an issue then get the S9, if u think u'd need more than 32GB in future, I'd say go for the J3. Though imo, I think the S9 looks sleeker.. But yeah, Cowon products are popular for its SQ.

If you use the hold feature very often then go with the J3. The hold switch can wear out on the S9.

J3 is a good choice, I have one and love it. The Ringke case for it is great as well.
