D2+ Dab, does it have flash?

This may be a stupid question, sorry.

But from reading I gathered that on normal D2s the 2.x firmware was the international version and supports MTP and playlists.
The 3.x firmware was the Korean version and supported flash.

I read that the latest firmware for the D2+ Dab is 4.12 and that it is closer to the 2.x firmware than the 3.x

So will flash work on the D2+ Dab? If not is it likely that they'll add it?

Is this a really stupid question? Are D2+ a different kettle of fish? Sorry

Okay, I'm hopefully ordering a D2+ in a day or 2 in the UK. Was it a stupid question above?
Is it a choice of DAB or flash? (there are other choices obviously, but I mean you can't have both?)

i believe you can put 1.xx Firmware *Which is the DMB Firmware for the DMB Models in Korea. though i would wait for further Info. on this. i'll do some searching and report back shortly.

EDIT: Yes, you can in fact install the 1.xx Firmware on a D2 DAB info. found HERE

O... and you can use Flash Skins with it i believe.

(I'm thinking do I buy a D2+ DAB which I then use without Flash Skins, or use without DAB functionality until Cowon bring out a firmware with both - which may never happen; do I just buy a normal D2+ and forget about DAB; or will the D2+ out of the box already support Flash Skins?)

i'm assuming you live somewhere overseas *In the UK. the D2's over there i would think come with 4.xx for the DAB and i would think for the regular D2's it'd come with 2.xx but i'm unsure on this. *ONLY Firmware 1.xx and 3.xx support Flash Skins *BUT all Firmware support Flash like playing Flash Games and playing with Apps. like say a Clock or stopwatch App.

It seems crazy that they're not including Flash Skins on non Korean firmware even on the D2+. Is there a really good reason for this?

I am in the UK. I just ordered a 16gb D2+ DAB. (after reading the emails) But I'll probably end up using the 3.xx firmware and forsaking DAB. (Maybe rockbox will be stable and support dab soon....)

I don't care much about a clock app or a stopwatch app. But I would like the music screen to be a bit prettier.

Oh well, I'll play around a bit when I get it but I suspect that I've just wasted 30 quid in buying the dab version.

Firmware 3.xx can't be installed on a DAB Model as doing so will most likely Damage the Player or Brick it. idk why only Firmware 3.xx and 1.xx support Flash Skins. don't have a answer for that.

Could be the DMB firmware then.

Edit: Okay cancelled it and ordered a D2+ 16gb silver instead. Amazon had it down to £129.99, so it was £60 cheaper than the Dab one. Thanks Furr, I guess I don't need to worry about Dab/DMB firmware now
