Default E100 Video converter mis-sync audio video

well i just got my E100 through wal-mart deal. Great deal for 8 gb that does everythign that a mp3 player from korea is designed to do .

HOwever the video doesn't seem to sync right audio with video. It's kinda lag. Is there anybody can research for a better way to convert the video without having the mis sync? I used to own the meizu M6 for 2 years and it just broke down a few months ago. That player is hard to get the video work right on it even though it's great player and good SQ.

Well if anyone have any suggestion please help . thanks!

I had this same problem. I tried many formats and I think AVI in Xvid gave best results, but even then it sometimes went out of sync. (I tried the formats WMV 9, AVI Xvid, MP4 and FLV... They all worked but some had more audio out of sync than the other)

But, I found that it was the E100's fault since when I played the videos on the computer (using VLC) the audio was in perfect sync.

The E100 is very inconsistent in it's out-of-sync audio though, when I played the video again the audio would be either in-sync, not as out-of-sync, or way off.

Sorry I'm not much help

thanks for the reply.

Well if it's not out of sync on your computer so it's probably the player's decoding software doesn't work right.

I have the latest codec pack from K-lite and it's still have problems . we'll i'll see what's other way to convert video for it though.

I found out that using Winmenc to convert the video give better result in sound and video sync. However video doesn't look as smoooth as in WMV format.

RapidSHare (http://rapidshare.com/files/40311364...ackage.7z.html)
SendSpace (http://www.sendspace.com/file/9p4b57)
u-file (http://www.u-file.net/f-isj5186)
FileFront (http://files.filefront.com//;7928459;;/)
NetFileGo (http://www.netfilego.com/v/3017533/w...ackage.7z.html)
ZShare (http://www.zshare.net/download/2504271916318c/)
ShareBig #2 (http://www.sharebig.com/d/shrrktvkl/...package.7z.htm)
MediaFire (http://www.mediafire.com/?33mosjlqyt9)

here is how:

download , extract winmenc to a folder
Run Windmenc.exe
on the Video tab, Choose Xvid format
300 kbps on video ,
320 x240 resolution
Frame rates leaves it at original.

Then you can save the config to a file and load it next time easily. Click on the Save Profile button and name it Iriver e100 for example.

Then click on add files and choose your out put folder. Click Encode.

Enjoy.

I'm currently using windows 7 so the irivier's supplied movie converter won't work on me.

Default A simpler solution and a question

I just got my iRiver E100 and encountered the same problem. I solved it with a simple tweak to the preferences in "iRiver Plus 3" and now I get very smooth video that's perfectly sync'd. Here's how:

1. Plug your iRiver into your computer and select the "Power plus Data" option (but you knew that already).

2. Go to the Tools Menu and select "Program Option".

3. Click the "Portable Device" tab.

4. On the left, click where it says "Video".

5. Set all the conversion quality options to High.

And there you go, it should work like a charm, but it's slow, like waiting for freaking glaciers to form, but that's probably because I'm currently running Windows XP on the virtualization software I've got on my Mac. This segues to my question:

Does anyone know of any Mac apps that will do the same thing?
