I received my P2 back from CVE today.
I'm very dissapointed. I asked them for a replacement because there was a gap on both left and right sides, so I did expect them to at least replace old cases with new cases (I'm aware that Samsung give you new unit for this particular issue in Korea). I'm thinking that they only have glued the units together. That was such a waste of 3 weeks. I could've just have glued the unit myself - Because I paid $17 2-day shipping and my P2 came back with problems that never have existed before. First, my P2 came back with excessive scratch on the back. Yea, such things can happen when they repair. But not only the scratches, but the paints are peeled offl; two noticeable sized dots. Second, my P2 had no problem whatsoever internally. The only reason why I sent in for repair was because of gaps on both sides that made buttons loose. Now, P2 has internal problems as well. 1) Once turned on, it shuts off by itself after few seconds. 2) Once it's turned off, it won't turn on again (turns on rarely, but it turns off by itself again) even after I press reset buttons. 3) When I connect my P2 via USB, it reads (red light on indicating it's plugged in), then it shuts down by disconnecting by itself few seconds later. Then it goes back to #2. 4) I got my P2 on 12/31/07. I never ever had to press reset button until today. There was no problem whatsoever internally. I used it fine until 2/8/07 when I sent my unit in to CVE Inc. 5) When it's on MySkin mode, whenever I change the icons (either to left or right), mixture of green/blue/red (?) thing blinks too. My P2, which was sent to keep the sides intact, came back with excessive scratches, peeled off paints, and internal problems. Not only dissapointed, but I'm angry for the time and money I spent. I came out to the city from my dorm which is about 1 hour away each way just to pick up my P2. I would like to get exchanged with new P2 or get a full refund. Help me out here. Thank you in advance. |

contact them and tell them about it.. (contact higher management levels)

Make them pay shipping. I know that when you claim warranty on an HP printer, they send you a new one and ask you to return your broken one in the box, postage prepaid. See if you can do that with Samsung.

wth i got free shipping when i sent mine in
i have a little white spot on the left top corner of my screen but w.e i'm not wasting another 2-3 weeks to get it fixed again and now tht i hear about this... i don't wanna risk messing it up even more |

Thanks for the input. Free shipping?.. Well, I don't want to wait another 2-3 weeks or risk having even more problems or waste my time, so I'm just going to call them tomorrow to for either exchange or refund. |

Yes a new p2, cmon imagine the time these guys waited for the p2 to come back and then just to realize that the p2 came in a wrong capacity, more problems,etc... Or cve should buy them new p2s

i know some people sent in an 8 gig p2 and got back a 4 gig one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

geez, CVE really has some internal problems... I had the problem of them sending me a 4gb when i sent in an 8gb. Samsung also doesn't like to acknowledge that CVE is doing a really bad job. Let them know that you have talked to others who have had bad experiences with them. Ask to speak with executive customer relations. and be careful! It took 2 months for them to fix my p2 problem!

They won't exchange you for the apperance.
And $85 for replacing the case or something. They're not even sure. I have to call them CVE tomorrow ask them directly. Why must I pay for their fault? Now the system part seems to be working fine. |

samsung technical service America is the worst A/S i have ever experienced.....well second after HP A/S.They like to never ever never ever never never ever pick up the god damn phone during like 2 or 3 hours they're opened. and they 말씨버(chew your words?) so much...it has became like a habit. one of the biggest regret in my life was doing the survey on phone and giving good grade for there tech service. i had to call around 15 times(no exaggeration) to get my yp-z5 fixed internally. freaking out everyday b/c warranty was like week left. one of the times...dude picked up and put me on hold and left...those fu@ckers...i recall and it was closed. wow. assho;es. other time they just simply hung up and i recalled. they put me on hold for like 20 min and nothing solved. wow....i was so pissed.
case #2...my camcorder broke due to poorly made product so they told me to send it....i did....address and all..........guess what. it never came back!!!!!!! and they said they send it and have nothing to do w/ it. im going =o wtf@!!!!!!! so dont expect anything good from those ppl i have grudge on. samsung Ameica A/S is my soul enemy .V. i give A/S -10/10 go kill yourself samsung A/S so conclusion....im to scared to buy another samsung product. knowing they are made in china and never know when they are going to break, and a F- A/S....go get a cowon or iriver or something |

At least 10 minutes on the line to get to talk to those highest people.
Yea, I just did my survey today. I gave them the worst I can possible. By the way, those customer relations people have no clue about P2. They just go by the book. |

I was just going to use it since it works fine internally and don't want to invest more money and time, but now the gap on both side glue is coming apart again and now it creates gap.
It's back to ground zero, but with more scratches and paints peeled off. I spent 3 weeks and $17 to fix this problem, and it comes apart after 2 days. Man, I'm so pissed off right now. |

samsung A/S is at bottom level right now....so i dont recommend you sending anything to the A/S. it would be a disaster and high chance your going to regret it......are u listening sasmung ?
