Zen PMP problem

Hi, I just bought a Zen PMP (found it for $150 ^_^) and there are a couple issues which may force me to return it.

First of all, the battery case won't come off. This... is... bad. The battery was already in there (I'm hoping, haha) as it was the last one in the store and had been sitting on the shelf.

Secondly, the battery won't charge. I plugged it all in and everything, the Zen turned on for about 2 seconds (went to what appeared to be the main screen) and then just went dead. I've left it plugged in, but it won't turn on again and the battery charging light isn't going on.

So... did the battery asplode like it did on so many other Zen PMP's? Apparently that causes the cover to not come off... so... eeyeah.

Edit: Well... it's started charging now... interesting... yay! ^_^

Still go back to the original problem of the battery cover not coming off. I'd like that to be fixed, yes please.

Okay, not sure what to tell you about the battery cover not coming off, since I'm not at all familiar with that model. Could it be that some foreign substance that may have gotten spilled/splashed onto the back of the player might be causing it? I mean, if the battery is charging, that's usually an indication that there's nothing wrong with the battery.

Interesting...

Left the thing in my car overnight and now the battery cover comes off easily.

I'm just gonna accept it... thanks for the sort of help.
