Hi, I would like to replace the battery of my Samsung YH-J70. I know that in www.samsungparts.com I could buy it, but I think that to pay $65.27 for it is a bit expensive.
Anybody knows where are batteries similar than YH-J70? I figure I could use another one more cheaper. From SamsungParts.com I read this: Part Number: 4302-001186 Division: Home Theater Description: BATTERY-LI(2ND) Stock Availability: Item usually ships in 5 business days Price: $65.27Specification ![]() 3.7V,970mAH,-,190mA,4.2V Support Models ![]() Other Home Theater, YHJ70JLB, YHJ70JLW, YHJ70LW, YHJ70SB Thanks in advance |

Yes I know it's so expensive but you don't have another solution for different batteries /example to mobil phone etc. I already tried but no succesful, different sizes/ because exist only one, special for YH-J70.

Finally I have just replaced the battery of my Samsung YH-J70LW and it works ok!
. Thanks for the pictures and instructions that I could read here.Samsung Spain (http://www.samsung.com/es/) recommended me to try asking the battery to "RETEVISA Electronics Components" because it was difficult to find it. This shop is located in Barcelona (Spain) and its site is: www.retevisa.es info@retevisa.es I gave them (by phone) the Part Number 4302-001186 of the battery (as appears in www.samsungparts.com) and they could locate it easily. I paid by transfer and in less a week it arrived at home (Spain) well packaged. I'm not sure if they have on-line shop. The battery has the info: 3.7V,970mAH,-,190mA,4.2V If you are in Europe (or Spain) you can try with them and avoid the International Delivery cost of www.samsungparts.com. I'm not sure if they ship to other countries in Europe. Ask them. The cost of the battery was 32 € (TAX included) plus 8 € more for shipping cost (40 € in total) . I think it is a good price because in SamsungParts costs 55.04 $ + 38.95 $ (International Delivery) = 93.99 $ = 61.37 € !!!! (Price August 2008) (Thanks lebellium for the correction).I hope this info was useful. Good luck! Last edited by Serruxo; 08-07-2008 at 01:01 PM. |

Found these on-line at £11 http://www.sequoia.co.uk/shop/product.php?p=522
which look like they'll do the job - but you will have to figure out how to use the connector from your old battery |

It is possible to fit a sony battery NW-A3000costing around £10
you must be able to swap the small circuit board over from old battery to the new battery , 5mins with soldering iron and sharp blade .Now works better than when new.dcmbatterys on e-bay |

I know it's an old thread, but it's also one of the first few hits on Google. In case anyone is still looking and struggling to find a generic battery for their old YH-J70, you need to google the part number: PPSB0606B. This is one of the correct ones for the YH-J70, and you can find a whole heap of compatible generic batteries. They all claim to be for the "YP YH7" player, which as far as I can see does not actually exist - I think it is the battery for a whole series of different YP- or YH- coded devices. But (for example) here is one shop that shows that this part number does fit the YH-J70: http://www.akku-wechsel.de/shop/akku...it-970mah.html

I was thinking the same while searching for a replacement, but one data seams in conflict: the dimension of the battery you mentioned (part number PPSB0606B) is 50X34X5 (mm), while the original Samsung one is 50X30X5 (mm). You sure it can fit? I mean, the part number describes all the features, including the size? Or The size can change? On the web can't find anyone who tried successfully to replace the battery with this part number. Thank you in advance! |

No, I take back what I said. I was wrong and taken in by that website. I ordered a PPSB0606B, and IT DOES NOT FIT. Sorry for misleading you! It looks like there's no alternative but to pay the silly money for the replacement PPSB0511A.

Some here!
![]() I think 15€ was worth the try. Now I've to figure out how to carry the battery. I managed to keep the battery outside the case, so I could close the case. Now I need to find how "attach" the battery on the back of my player. I guess I'll have to build a "cover"... |
