Default iaudio 7 in car

Can you plug your iaudio 7 in a car stereo? I'm looking at some aftermarket head units like Pioneer that have iPod integration so I was wondering if I could plug it in any radio that has a USB socket.

Thanks

I personally have not tried it, as I don’t have a head unit, but I don’t see why you couldn’t connect it in ums/msc mode.

That should do it; depending on what model car stereo deck you have, it might even work in MTP mode, although MSC is a sure bet.

Even if you can use the 7 in ums/msc mode, that doesn't explain how you can connect it. I'm not aware of any car adapters that allow you to plug the mp3 player into your axillary inputs. The iPod, Sansa, sony, etc players all have proprietary connections (i think), so these car adapters wouldn't work with the mini-usb output of the i7. An example of what I would love to connect the i7 to a car cd player is this, which is made for an ipod (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=3KBQFYKQEQRMZ) . Right now the only thing holding me back from purchasing the i7 is whether or not I will be able to plug it into my car's cd player, which doesn't have a USB input.

There are many ways to use mp3 players in cars... take a look here for info on all of them: http://captain-odegard.com/car_setup.html

So if i'd like to plug my i7 into my stereo's line-in, how do i do that? I have tried plugging from the headphone outlet and then into the stereo, but it sounds terrible. I was reading elsewhere that if you can run out of the usb connection, and then into the stereo system, the results will sound far superior. Keep in mind I have only tried the mini out to stereo in using an iPod shuffle, but the results sounded terrible when compared to a cd played on the same stereo, and the volume was much much lower.

line out is indeed best... but i doubt the i7 has line out though. you should try tweaking the setting, because normally AUX-in would be more than enough for most people
