Really looks like Trekstor got it right with the accessories... no need to complain about anything missing.

If the accessories were in stock where I bought the Vibez I might be happier.

I bought a Stretch Bag, but I think it sucks. It is way too tight, so it's rather uncomfortable to put the Vibez into it. Perhaps it'd be useable with the wired remote ...

In the absence of stock of the skin, I cut myself a ghetto skin for the back from MX tank stickers.

What is an MX tank and can you post pics?

You can get cut-to fit sheets of decals for motorbike tanks / fairings.
Many have a two-layer construction where there's an adhesive layer and a top plastic player. You can peel off the top plastic layer so you're just left with a thin skin. I just used it as I have loads lying about. If you want to do a better job of it, it might be worth buying some invisibleshield material in sheets. |

The back of my D2 is a cut to fit ipod video back skin from decalgirl. At least it protects from scratches, even though its not that nice.

The Crystal case works great for me for the D2 (after my initial hiccup, where I managed yo ding the player just before I fitted the case... agrg). Well worth getting IMO. The uneven shape of the Vibez and the wheel location makes that sort of case a bit more difficult, although I'd really like one to come out.

It is an odd shape actually, and not in a well designed way like many of the Sonys (which did fit nicely in the hand).
I realised that left-handed usage caused the oversize wheel to bind more on the Vibez, so I switched to right, but still the wheel's size was badly picked IMO, well as turning it into a rocker with with a stupid button in the middle of it. I liked the way the Karma and it's controls fell naturally into a right-hander's hold and the Vibez is definitely a step back in that respect. Anyway, regardless of how problematic the sound quality on this thing is for headphone use, I'm thinking it would make a nice super-mini speaker system with the docking station. Eagerly waiting for it to be in stock... |
