thanks for all your help, but ive given up on the poor thing. got the replacement battery and its having hte same problems. when i plug in a charger it shows a full battery, as soon as it gets taken...

I think the problem was the new battery was slightly thicker than the original one. I cut a thin slice off the little buffers inside it and that seemed to work.
