So after 20hrs or so of burn in they came around. The bass is at a level now that satisfies me. :)

Will they continue to improve? Time will tell but for now they are fine and I will just use them.

Thanks for the input guys. As it turns out, I think I will just upgrade the IEMs and stay with the Vision M for now. I think my wanting a J3 wast really a case of the shinies more than anything else....
