If new, the headphone jack on the Fuze tends to be very tight when new. Try pushing the plug in harder.

Since the Clip and Fuze use the same hardware, I'd be shocked if it didn't get folder browsing.

Get MP3Tag and edit the tags. The clip doesn't care what folders the music is in, it's looking at the tags, and your album name tags are obviously different for each CD.
