You should look at what Audio Technica has to offer, but not necessarily M50. I'd say ATH-A700 would be a good choice.

Why not? I suppose you know about Creative Aurvana Live! and Denon AH-D1001 - they both have the very same drivers made by Foster. CAL!s can be get for $60, Denons for $200.
