Mine hasn't done this but has trouble showing the full battery charge. It usually displays 80% when full. The compass doesn't work either. I still love it for a player.

It is my understanding from the Android forums that apps don't "run in the background". They reside in in RAM until you open them. That process returns you to where the app was when you left it.

There is not much difference between 50 Hz and 60 Hz as far as power supplys go. There is however a big consideration in what voltage comes from your wall outlet and what voltage your adapter input...
