they're probably just stupid. I called a couple of local best buys (north part of the Denver, CO metro) and they all flat-out refused to acknowledge anything about it until tomorrow.

Nope, the drive is fine. I have a LIF/ZIF to USB enclosure. If I put the drive in it, I can see it and use it with no problems. The only problem is when it's in the Zune.
