The player will NOT change the volume on ANY headset. It is the headset that controls the volume, but does not change the volume ON the player.

Check page 27 of the Insignia Pilot PMP manual.

I had a Windows Media Encoder Helper error popup window appear when I was trying to sync. I have XP SP3 as well. I uninstalled WMP 11, and reinstalled it and don't have any problems.
