Interesting that anyone would find the Samsung P2's touchscreen smooth and intuitive. I find the capacitive screen on the S9 to be far superior. And I don't think that the "CoverFlow" is as jerky as...

Exactly right about transferring multiple playlists/files

Claw is exactly right! I stay in MTP mode and have used WMP11 to sync dozens of playlists (shown as 0-byte .pla files in Explorer). I only switch back to MSC mode to do firmware upgrades (which I can...

I have 2 that both output 1.0A

Before I fry my new S9, does anybody know if 1 amp is too much charging input for this device? If so, I'll buy a slower one that does 300-500mA.

Yep,

Looks like my Samsung BJII data/charging cable; when my S9 arrives Christmas Eve, I'll let you know if A. It looks different enough that I'm also too scared to try it , or 2. It's identical...

Lightbulb 3 Words: Drag And Drop

The comment about using tabs and static menus (both of which Microsoft's context-sensitive ribbon bars essentially subsume) really has me wondering if some of those people who complain about...

I use 128Kbps WMA and I have 507 songs (some of which are 8-12 minute-long jams), 15 Flash games, dozens of pictures, and 1 short video on the 2GB clix.

Just got the 4GB, so I'll let you know...

Yep.

I got my 4GB clix yesterday, and I really like the (flat) black color (with color-matched USB cable and earbuds). Otherwise, It's exactly the same as the 2GB clix, but with double the capacity and...

Yeah, boy!

Well put, Utew. And this is the argument that corporate executives in *ANY* industry can and should understand: video tapes (and now DVDs) made them a ton of money; hell, 8-track and audio cassette...

Let me repeat...

If you put ONLY THE 7 PHOTOS YOU WANT CYCLED AS WALLPAPER on the clix, and then choose Random Photo as your Wallpaper Setting, that's exactly what will happen. Obviously, if you put more than 7...

Yep. The updater wouldn't work for me either, although strangely and unlike some others have reported, it said that there *was* a 2.01 update available.

I just downloaded the zip, grabbed the hex...

And why, exactly, does the "Random Photo" option not do what you want? Or if you prefer to keep more pictures on the device than there are "random" days of the week/month/etc., you can just manually...

Talking My experience w/clix battery & startup

Here's the pattern I've observed: If you leave the clix untouched for more than 24 hours or so, it powers down (almost?) completely and saves the battery pretty well (about as well as most...

Don't give up on the clix.

Something's up with YOUR player, I'm pretty sure, not the clix in general. I've had my clix since they were introduced, and usually use the random wallpaper function. I've NEVER had my unit freeze...

Not yet, but I am working on it. My copy of Audible is on a desktop Windows 2000 box, and WMP11/clix is on an XP laptop (of course), so I'm still fiddling around with it. Going to try some Audible...
