And the archos 7 won't have the same cpu as the archos 5.

The archos 5 uses an arm cortex a-8. The same processor as the iphone/nokia n900 and palm pre.
I'm not sure what processor the 7 uses but...

IMO as of right now maemo/meego is better than android.
