After further testing with live recordings encoded in FLAC format, there definitely are 1/10th of a second gaps between tracks when using FW 2.31b. Not a big deal, you really have to pay attention...

I think the quality of the radio reception depends on the wiring of your earphones. FM reception of KLBJ 93.7 in Austin, TX came in crystal clear for me using my Phonak PFE 112s.
