yea, I meant to write "I'll keep an eye out for Zune deals". Was really looking for a cheap player but will consider $150 or so models if they have nice screens and good video playback.

Anyone have recommendations for a player with a very good FM tuner? I currently use an older Creative Nano plus which has a poor quality FM tuner. Apart from that the player is OK.

Thanks. The one he got today says its a SDHC and so far it doesn't work. Gonna try and reformat it and if that doesn't work will look for one that says SD only. Microcenter lists their 4GB as SDHC...

Is there any way to tell the firmware version from the outside of the box. Supposedly, Office Depot is selling it for $30 after rebate tommorow and my dad is interested in the v1 with rockbox update.
