Broken J3
 

Earlier a few weeks ago I took my J3 out of my pocket only to see that there was a large crack running about halfway up the screen. It will turn on and play music, but the screen wont turn on with the player, remaining black. So basically what I have now is a beefed up ipod shuffle

My question, is there any way I can get this repaired still? I looked on cowons site but it doesn't help me. Only encourages me to post on the FAQ's.

Am I out of a player or is it possible cowon would fix this for a price?

AFAIK Cowon will still replace screens on the J3. I'm not sure what they charge for the J3 but IIRC a friend paid around $90.00 for the s9 screen plus shipping both ways. You need to get online with tech support, they'll quote you a price and let you know where to ship. Unfortunately it's the only way as parts are next to impossible to find unless you buy a broken player to salvage parts off.

Cowon's website confuses me though. Should I shoot them an email when I click on contact us? Im asking because it says for "business opportunities" only. But I'm not seeing any other way to contact them

Yeah cowon is somewhat difficult to get a hold of for repairs. Though I have have had them repair a few of my different DAP's throughout the years.
