How's Cowon's Customer Service?
I just want my S9 fixed lol. how is Cowons' customer support?

What's wrong with your S9? Well I'll respond anyway.

Last year my power switch broke, it was totally loose. After registering on the site, chatting with a rep who told me that it would cost "under $50" and sending my player to their repair center in CA, I got the bill: $74.

The power switch was $47 but they "also happened to notice that my volume buttons were not working" which I am certain was not true. Also, how do they not have fixed rates for repairs? Furthermore, I've read posts from people here and on iaudiophile that they ordered power switches for about $10.

Being that there's only 1 repair place in the country, it seems to me like they don't have any straight policy at all and just do whatever they want. Everything about my experience felt extremely unprofessional. But hey, I could be wrong.

That was my experience. Maybe other people had great experience, I'm not sure. But I would never deal with them again. Just my personal two cents.

Edit - I forgot to say that the first thing I did was ask them if I could buy the part and they said that they absolutely under no circumstances sell parts to anyone. But I've read people on forums all over buying the switch for $10. That's why I mentioned it.

That location may not sell the part, but China is very good at 'remaking' parts and selling them.

That being said, Cowon is expensive to have them fix your issues, unless you can do it under warranty you will nearly be better off buying a new unit. I know this makes Cowon sound like a horrible company, but if you buy their products without a silder(cowon sucks horribly with these) then you are getting a good product that will last. Sadly mine and your S9 has a slider so we get the short end of the stick.

great lol. maybe they stopped caring about the s9 by now, which is why they aren't responding.

Just keep badgering them. Their customer service is crappy to non-existent but they will respond if you need a repair. That's because it's revenue for them. If you have a complaint they could care less but if something is broke and you need to send it in, they'll respond. That's how they stay in business.
