Orphaned Songs on Device
I finally got off my butt and started re-ripping "Intros" and the songs they accompany into single files. Great! Wonderful! While this all worked well, the specific problem I had was with "Parabol" and "Parabola" from Tool's "Lateralus" album. Once I had ripped the new, combined version, I deleted the old, individual songs. After synchronization with my Zune 120, the device refused to recognize the songs from "Lateralus" as belonging to the same album, even though individually played, they clearly were. Art was there, album title, too.

In the Zune software, I removed the songs from the device, then in the Collection, I resynchronized them. All was well with the world, as the songs showed up together as "Lateralus". However, the ORIGINAL versions, "Parabol" and "Parabola", are STILL on the device, floating disconnected from any album. They don't show up in the software, either in the Device view OR the Collection view, but they are still on the device and playable. (The new version, "Parabol / Parabola" is where it should be.)

I have noticed a few other orphans on the device with no way to get them off of there. Can anyone tell me how to remove these audio parasites? Will I have to remove everything and resynchronize? If so, how do I do that?

Additional info: It appears that this has happened when editing with Mp3Tag, WITHOUT the Zune software runnign and the Zune connected. I deleted the two songs with Mp3Tag, they vanished from the software, but the next synchronization failed to remove them from my Zune.
