Need new earphones

Hi guys,
I am looking for some good quality in-ear earphones. I don't have a price limit but if you could suggest some good headphones with decent sound and build quality that aren't too expensive that would be great. No more than 100 dollars please. I don't mind what colour or company they are in/from but I would prefer black headphones. I also prefer I-shaped plug ins instead of L-shaped ones. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you.

sorry I am not very sure where to put this thread

If you like clear and detailed sound, go for the Head Direct RE0 for 79$

thanks sovesky, 'll check them out. But out of the following three earphones which would you pick Sony MDR-EX500LP, Sennheiser CX 400 II or Sennheiser CX 500.
Thanx

I would go with either pair of Sennheiser's. I actually had the sony pair and they are not bad. I returned them for my zune broke not long after I brought them. I like the Sennheiser sound better. I have Sennheiser's now and love them!!!!

I have a total of two sets of decent headphones (Sennheiser CX-400 (note they're not CX-400 II) and Creative EP-830) and one set of supposedly outstanding headphones (Ultimate Ears 10vi).

Between the CX-400 and the EP-830 I think the EP-830 sound better. They have a lot better bass, that's for sure. Since I got these UE 10vi I briefly compared them to the EP-830 and I found the sound to be pretty similar. I'm not an audiophile though, so it's very possible I wasn't listening to them "right".
To clarify: I assume the UE 10 is better than the EP-830 which I think sounds better than the CX-400.

If you're willing to go up to about $145 (including shipping) I'm selling a couple extra pairs of UE 10vi headphones. If I have any left there will be a link in my signature.

"Between the CX-400 and the EP-830 I think the EP-830 sound better. They have a lot better bass"

I have the CX300, and noticed that the bass is very dependant on the seal, being anywhere from quite deficient to quite good. Have you tried different tips with the CX400? Perhaps other ones might seal better for you?

I think I was actually using the exact same tips, since they fit on both sets. I gave the Sennheisers to my sister so I can't easily try them again.

I prefer my UE metrofi 200s than my sennheiser cx400. Slightly better treble IMO
