How many headphones do you have?
Quote:
I have Grado SR60i, Sennheiser PX100, Koss KSC75(one pair I use, another pair in the box), and Panasonic RP-HTX7. I have Sennheiser HD201's, but their sale is pending. |
Check my sig.
|
Don’t know how many, but a lot of cheapo’s and included buds :D The one’s I use most are hd650s and the UE11 Pro.
|
In order from favorite to least of the ones i use :)
Sennheiser HD-650 < use them at least once a day for extended listening (the best phones to date i have owned or listened to) Sennheiser HD-25-1 II Sennheiser IE 8 Ultrasone Hfi 780 Sennheiser HD-600 Sennheiser HD-595 Sennheiser HD-555 Sennheiser HD-280 |
I has 4.
+ like half a dozen stock earbuds I've never really touched. ;) I might upgrade for x-mas but I'm not sure if I really need to. |
I have two pair of IEMs that I like (JVC FX-66 Air Cushion and FX-33 Marshmallow with UE tips), several pair of stock earbuds (at least 6 pair unopened), and a bunch of others.

Just my EX500LPs and the stock buds that came with my Sony (which are crap). Was going to upgrade to the EX700s or SE530s or IE8s but decided I've better uses for £200+.
|
Only ones that I use frequently are the a900, HD25 sp and Klipsch X10. Which is enough, for now. Anything that I get that I dont like I usually try to sell them off asap.

RE0
Sennheiser PX100 at work Koss KSC 75 for running Sennheiser CX300 in a drawer since I got the RE0s ;) |
I got:
Ultrasnoe HFI-780 (ma favourites) Phonak Audeo PFE (very decent, but they lack the bass) Sennheiser px100 (great headphones for the price) Sennheiser cx300 (decent sound, good build quality, terrible cable) Mylarone Bijou (super crap with a load of ugly bass) Zune premium earphones (very bad iems, better than most stock ones though) |
Only two I really use at the moment:
ATH-M50 (My current favorites) Grado SR125i The current status of my others: Phonak Audeo PFE (Became imbalanced, sent back to Phonak who are sending me one of the new better built pairs at the end of the month) Sennheiser HD201 (No longer good enough now I'm spoiled with the M50s, might give them away) S-Jays (Given away to a friend as I didn't use them anymore) Sennheiser CX300 (Stolen from my desk at work :-( I'm actually in the market for another pair of cheap but decent IEMs while I wait for my Phonaks to come home. Might replace the CX300s. Been using these phones for a long time before I started going "up in the world" and still love them. |
Sony MDR-V6(+DT250 Velour Pads) - good for reference listening, somewhat sibilant
Sony MDR-XB700 - bass freqs, surprisingly clear bass w/nice mids and clear highs Sony MDR-V900HD - all around winner, my favs, the SQ is even, w/smooth bass Audio-Technica ATH-M50(+DT250 Velour Pads) - great SQ, a bit bloated in the bass, mids recessed, highs sparkle Sennheiser HD280 (needs new pads & re-cabling) - good for reference, bass is lacking, mids clear, highs are sibilant Panasonic HTC7 - 2 pairs (black w/custom foam mod) - good for starters, narrow sound stage, decent SQ, bass heavy Philips HS500 behind the neck HP's (for comp and jogging use) - great for bargain HP's, and the bass is pretty sweet as well/LOUD!!! Koss ksc75 (2 pairs) - very bright on the treble, gives me a 'eadache Various iPod & Sony & Cowon IEM's laying around I might have more, so I'll update when I locate/remember them,..... http://smileys.on-my-web.com/reposit...espect-055.gif |

If you're in the UK wait until the beginning of Dec to get some - I was told by Phonak the UK gets the new build ones at the end of Nov (and they'll send me a pair to replace my faulty first gens then)
