The battery life sux unfortunately, and the first model had crappy SQ.
Yeah, battery life is pretty bad. Remember, though, that this is only a prototype. It could be upped for the final model.
Hope so, as it's got some nice features, and pretty good lookin' at that!!!!
A little bit more info was posted at CNET. The audio battery life isn't good, but everything else sounds great.

Though i have been told by someone who has used this prototype that its a fail. Touch for the sake of touch. But... it still was a prototype, so it may improve. |
I'm sure all the ibiza fans hope so!

As for the touch model, here's to hoping it'll be solid after it gets out of the beta stage. really looks like a player w/great potential. |
A little more info is posted here. The article mentions the ability to download and play files from web pages. Interesting...

WiFi explains the 15hr audio life, and if it has bluetooth as well they could certainly help by making it trivially easy to shut both radios off. I've seen many touchscreen players with crappy UIs, so I hope they are spending this time really polishing it.
And it's dead. The ibiza Rhapsody has been discontinued and all future products have been canceled. The company that wrote the software (Varia Mobile) is being shut down and the partnership with Haier is no more. They made the announcement on the ibiza forums last week.
Weird!
That sux!!!!!!!! Does anyone have a link to the announcement?
