Gigabeats suffered from the Y2K9 bug too!
 

Just like the Zune, the gigabeats died for the day. Why do I know this? Well, my Gigabeat dies for today, and i thought it was time to get a new mp3player, but just at 12:10, a few minutes ago, it started working again.

interesting i wonder what exactly caused these errors anyway...the clock i know, but why now..

2008 = leap year
366 days vs 365
december 31st = day 366
players that are coded badly, dies due to not knowing what to do when all the days are over but the year isnt :p
...weird that cowons didnt self destruct, although those probably cant count to 366 to begin with
