SMV transcoder
 
i just got a trekstor i.beat emo and it came with a program called SMV transcoder for converting video files to the .smv format it can play. i tried to convert a .mpg file and i got "unknown error = 0x80040217"

anybody have any ideas?

Fix for the "unknown error"
 
I had the same problem. Turns out to be a shortage of codecs that the SMV can handle. I downloaded the K-Lite Codec pack and ran it on my computer, then the transcoder worked fine (if by "working fine" you mean "makes crappy tiny videos you can hardly see but you can play on your mp3 player")

K-Lite can be gotten here http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...codec_pack.htm
