I saw a review on youtube.

They look amazing but apparently not very good for the price.

What do you think of them?

Are the Atrios better?

BTW do you have livewires

dfkt 10-01-2007 05:46 PM

Do you have a link to that YouTube review? (EDIT: I guess it's this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvrEJfDyhcE )

I think they sound very fine, as far as I can tell on the first day.

Those are completely different sounding phones than the Atrios, it's hard to compare. Usually I'm not a fan of balanced armatures (Super.Fi, Shure, Etymotic), but the q-Jays certainly do a lot right. It's almost magic, the bass coming out of these microscopic thingies, combined with the clarity of an Etymotic IEM.

Random guy on beach :P

How much did you get them for and from where?

dfkt 10-01-2007 06:01 PM

Kramer5150 is not so random, he's one of the top-10 posters over at Head-Fi... ;)

I got them directly from Jays in Sweden.

Aardvark 10-02-2007 09:01 AM

Ok, ya got me salivatin' agin

When can we expect a review of the sound?

May I also indroduce my friend Emma

Emma Chissit ( said in a Cockney accent)

dfkt 10-02-2007 09:05 AM

Soon, very soon.

Oi mate, me cockney accent isn't trained well enough to catch your drift. :)

EDIT: ok, I got it now... why do people always ask for the price and not how they sound? ;)

derf 10-02-2007 09:34 AM

People assume that if you thought they sounded bad, you would not have put up pics.

dfkt 10-02-2007 09:41 AM

My question was rhetorical (hence the smilie), but well... go to http://jays.se/ enter your country, and you'll see how much they drain your wallet.

Assassassin 10-02-2007 04:19 PM

Dfkt have you had any experience with the j-JAYS?
BTW: Do the j-JAYS come with a headphone splitter or case?

Hodgie 10-02-2007 04:21 PM

Dfkt has them as they are his pics above.

They come with a tiny case and a hp splitter.

Works out as £129.76

DFKT where do you get all your money from.

I have sennheiser cx300 and thats all.

No, the q-Jays are my first IEMs from Jays. Never heard their earlier models.

The huge array of accessories that comes with the q-Jays is pictured above. You probably can find out on Jays' website what accessories come with the j-Jays.

Assassassin 10-03-2007 09:19 PM
