I still have one, and i loved it, it's screen is dead.

The real great thing about it was the build quality, you don't get palyers built like that anymore.

I miss my Creative ZVM, still best video player I've ever owned

I had this after having a ZV:M for about a year...I wanted a bigger display, and this did it.
Then I decided I wanted DVR functionality, and I got an Archos 504 40gb...which I still have. I kinda liked the ZV:W more, but the extra storage and DVR dock did it for me. I think the screen on the ZV:W was better though.

I still own a ZVM; but I had really wanted to but this one in the beginning; still love my ZVM though

Wow, I still have one of these!! Definitely worth it.

My ZV:W isn't recognized by a computer anymore, it just charges. My cousin thought it would be funny to use an iPod FM Transmitter on it and probably fried the data controller... I'm still thinking if I should hunt for a new ZV:W, replace it's mobo or get a current-gen player.

I still have my 30gb ZV:W It works perfectly except the USB port is damaged. And Creative never made a dock for it. :( Compact Flash still works though!

I regret the day I traded my Sen Vision M for a Zune. The M was simply everything that is right in an mp3 player. It was thick, but God did it do everything right. Video display right through the headphone jack, Beautiful screen, great battery, and a removable one!

I miss it :(

I still have and use my Zen Vision : M the video codec support on the vision M and vision W where great. I was hoping to see more in this series, with possibly with even more video codec support but unfortunately that was not the case.

Wow. I love that thing. I used to have a ZVM until it dies from my bad way of treating it (HDD failure).

I know a girl with a ZVW, which I will get in exchange for a ZEN :D Yay me. It'll be almost like the old days...

Anyone else love the output power of this thing= :D

IIt is a greate storagedevice for photographers, better than any other I have seen. and as mentioned the screen greate too. The probem is the replacement battery! Hard to find.

Mine is still going strong after being dropped hard enough to chip the paint, crack the internal screwmounts so i glued the thing shut and break of 2 pieces of alloy at the edges.
I even dropped it when i was biking fast and dragged it along 30ft on the cord of my Grado's.
The battery is still in pretty good shape too. When taking care i can get around 12 hours of playback.
The build quality with the magnesium really sets the ZV series apart.
I've got the Travelstar HDD inside btw.

ugh. i loved my ZVM. got the standard black. so sexy. even though it was a fatty compared to the ipods, it was such a great player. i had a good time going, "can your ipod do this??" haha. well. i'm bitter. because someone STOLE mine!! but who could blame them. the machine was just so epically made of awesomeness!

Lovely thing, but since I have a laptop computer, this is maybe unnecessary.

I still have my Zen Vision W and still use it regularly. I love it! The codec support is great; I use XVID to encode the videos I watch on the ZVW. I mainly use it to watch movies when flying, and I really like how Amazon supports it for their video service.

Never had the Vision: W, but I have recently bought an "as is" Vision: M and replaced the HDD with a compact flash card. Now the player is in rotation along with my old trusty Creative Zen Touch (also modded with compact flash), the Sansa View I bought to replace the Zen Touch when the HDD died, and my newest player: Cowon S9.
Haven't used video much on the Vision: M, but for music it's great.

I had a 30GB Zen Vision W which has been through a lot. First, my sister accidentally stepped on it when she was standing on a desk to change some curtains (bought a new screen and had my roommate install it for me). Then there was the upgrade. I purchased a 120gb drive for it, and my roommate did the painstaking upgrade. I still have my 120gb Zen Vision W, which is my primary portable entertainment device. With my poor eyesight, its screen is large and easy for me to read and navigate.

I had a 30GB version of it.. I left it in my car and didn't lock it and it got stolen.

Now I don't have a player looking for replacement but still not finding one.

I'm looking for one in same screen size. Don't care about web on tiny device. I do want a Built in GPS with Built In maps. Support podcasts and wireless for downloading podcast at free hotspots.

I have a 60 GIG one, I have to agree with everyone here, the ZVW is a great device. My Battery died on me so It's really not too usable anymore so I boxed it up and put it in storage... I got a Cowon Q5W as a replacement. As a music play the Zen and lightyears better than the Cowon. Cowon is a much better video player. If the Cowon had a better music player it would be the most awesome player ever... not sure why it doesn't. Really don't get why Creative didn't support this player better... a real shame.

I still have my 60GB ZVW in perfect working condition. I use it as my mp3 player for my car and have lots of videos downloaded to while away time including the complete series of original Star Trek shows. Great screen but a bit bulky for today but who cares, it is a classic that I intend to keep until it dies.

Still have mine, still works great. I just don't use it as much since getting an XMp3 and an 8G microSD card.

I have the Zen Vision(which is a 4x3 form factor of the same player). Works great and has a 30GB HD. I carry it along with my S9 on flights to watch video encoded on 640x480. Fits well with my torrents.

Still have mine and love it. Copying movies to it right now. It is small enough to carry in my pocketbook. For a portable player the screen is big enough to actually watch videos without straining my eyes. I hope it never breaks.

Bought mine when they came out and use it each and every day. I have taken it on several trips to China stuffed with movies for the flight. I got a nice leather case for it when it was new so it is still in mint condition and works perfect. There are no others like it. Best part is that you can password protect certain items on the player (wink, wink, pron). Really, a rock solid player that I would be lost without. They hit a serious home run with this one..

I have had one for 3 years now, still a great pler. Big enough to watch movies on, and once I had hacked in a 120gb drive, plenty big enough for all my tunes! Solid, good sound, good video, another Creative classic. Nice.

I have the M and the W. Love them both. What happened to Creative? I even came here tonight looking for info on the Zii egg! (Nothing since early November?)

Anyway, both my M and W are still running perfectly, and I've used my M every day since I got it, within months of it coming out. EVERY DAY. Still perfect. Now if Creative could just get that damn Zii up and running, and I'd get one of them, too!

I agree with the above.. I bought a blue ZVM back when I was in high school and loved it religiously, until the hardware finally started to give in to wear and tear. I'm on the market for another, but none of Creative's current offerings look worthwhile! And don't let me branch off about how much I dug for a Playdock for the ZVM, only to find out they cancelled it and dug it deep underground! Creative - wake up and go back to what worked! Go take one of your research execs and have them read sites like this so you know what us consumers are looking for in an mp3 player, not what you *think* we want (9 relatively useless button players).
tl;dr Creative needs to go back to ZVM model and modernize what was a good fucking system to begin with.

Had my ZVW on the shelf for 2 years, diggit it out recently to buy some tv series on Amazon. Cheaper than itune and the ZVW still working fine worth every dollar for 300 I paid in Nov. 2006

Actually, I still have and use my ZV:M. Still going strong and has been ever since I bought it. Mainly bought it because it could do things that the 5G iPod couldn't such as the FM radio, great video support. Hopefully it keeps this up until another player with awesome codec support comes along

My Creative Zen W is awesome... from the audio speaker while I'm working/painting etc to the video quality.

I hacked my system and upgraded to a 120GB drive and a quick swap 16GB CF card. Plenty of movies and with a great pair of ear buds... it has year of quality usage.

I just wish Creative would of pushed 3rd party development tools/programs like the iPods/iPhones.

Comes in handy on the long interstate drives.
