SanDisk Sansa Clip+ Plus Disassembly
Everyone loves to peek inside and see what makes these players tick and its always helpful to see them pulled apart for future repair or swapping out parts for customization.
The Clip+ resembles the original clip insides but with some upgraded silicone. Disassembling was easier than the original and fairly straight forward with the right tools. All you will need is a slim piece of plastic to pry the two half apart and a small screw driver. You can take apart and put back together the Clip+ without damaging the plastic housing if you are careful. Before your start, take a look at the pictures and mind where the latches are that hold the two pieces together. Then carefully pry at those locations. Good luck!

Nice! Can you post the dimensions of the battery as accurately as possible, including the thickness? Please consider this a standing request for all disassemblies. The idea is to identify possible sources of replacement batteries. Thanks!

Love your reviews! Always excellently done, and very informative. Keep up the good work! But you really need someone to proofread your copy for spelling/grammatical errors before posting. If you need a volunteer, here I am. : )

Interestingly there's a chunk of PCB connected to it.. Hmmm.. Might not get too lucky with off-the-shelves replacement batteries. Was thinking if the batteries can be replaced with a higher capacity one instead. *haha*

@ Caleb, perhaps the PCB is just secured by tape (see image 8)? The battery itself looks quite generic too so I think it is possible to replace it (no doubt voiding the warranty).

Very Intersting for when I need to replace the battery.
My clip+ case looks pretty tight to split. Could you please elaborate on the piece of plastic you used to pry the clip open.
Thanks
