Sansa Fuze Shows Up on Amazon

A few days ago we showed you the first glimpse of the Sansa Fuze after a forum member had been snooping around the Internet. The Sansa Fuze has now been spotted available for pre-order on Amazon, while there still has been no official word from SanDisk

As we speculated, the Fuze will have both radio and video, and it will also have a microSDHC slot for expansion and a 1.9" screen to view it all. Battery life is rated at 24 hours for audio and 5 hours for video. The Fuze is listed in both black, pink and red, and from the leaked accessory kit we know a blue version is also coming. The only model listed is the 4GB priced at $99, but we expect more capacities to be available once it's official.

a definate ipod nano killer/competitor. but what is with sandisk and micro-sd cards? SD cards are much better. well i guess in this case, micro-sd cards are better because their smaller, but stuff like the view, they should have had SD.

If this has the same sound quality as the clip then it is a must buy. I mean 4GB at $99 with all the features? that's a steal!

ipod nano 3gen or sansa fuze? that isn't even a question for it is completely obvious that the Fuze is going to perform better.

it's like the ipod nano 2gen and the e200. you got more in the sansa for much less.

good work sandisk - cant wait to get hold of it (if it is UMS that is).

and from the looks of the picture, maybe its just the angle, but the fuse looks like it has good build quality like the ipod nanos, looks like hard metal-looking shell. if the fuse has great build quality, then the ipod nano has nothing against this.

So I guess this one is gonna replace the e200 series? Since this one apparently can do everything the e200's can, but better. I'm curious about the sound quality. But I think that the design is too obvious as a direct Nano competitor. Oh well, we'll see how it turns out.

    The Clip has a fantastic little form factor; cheap in build quality but very rugged. The interface is simple and relatively straight forward. The features on the clip are more or less average, mostly identical to the Sansa Express. However, what earns this player a spot in Editor’s Choice is the superb sound quality; you will not find another player at this size and price that can match it.     The D2 is a fantastic sounding PMP with a very nice looking screen and a tone of features. One of the best features of the D2 is the SDHC slot allowing you to add another 32GB to this small wonder. The touch interface does not lend well to on the move operation, but it is not enough to keep it from being an editor’s choice.     The q-JAYS are great in ear phones. They offer excellent clarity, silky treble, realistic midrange, and a nice bass response. They're comfortable, incredibly tiny, and come with a huge selection of accessories. While they certainly are analytic phones, they're still fun to listen to. The q-JAYS respond well to EQing, and can be tweaked to fit almost anyone's sound preference. Recommended for anyone owning a good sounding player and well encoded audio files. Check out our review.
