Sony Unveils NW-A820 with Bluetooth and Video Recording
Sony just announced its new Walkman model, the NW-A820 (NWZ-820 in Europe/US). The player features a 2,4" 320x240 QVGA screen, noise canceling features, Bluetooth functionality, and sizes up to 16GB. The Asian version of the player will still have ATRAC playback and most likely be SonicStage dependent, while the European and US model will continue Sony's recent trend of MTP based players without ATRAC support, which of course is a good thing.
Sony also announced two accessories for the new player; the SRS-NWT10M external speaker, and the VRC-NW10 cradle. The cradle supports both video out and video in, which means you can record TV directly to the NW-A820 in MPEG-4 format. Whether or not this will work on the NWZ-A820 is not known, but fingers crossed that it will. The player will be available in Asia on March 20, release date for the rest of the world is unknown. Thank GOD I sold my D2 and am working on sellin' my Zune30. This is next to perfect (sweet spot for me is 32gb). Definitely worth the wait for this one and I think I'm gonna' cry!!!

Nice update!
bluetooth, bigger screen, noise canceling, and i'm sure the SQ will be at least as awesome as A81x series.
my only problem is the fact that my A816 is a valentine gift from my gal 6 days ago. if i put it up on ebay for sell too soon i'll be in deep trouble :(

i still remember my gf face when i showed her the A820 pictures.
i think most man will get to see pretty much the same expression from their gal everytime they want to update their gadget.
she gets to see mine too everytime she get a new branded bag/clothes etc.
in chinese we called it 'you scratch my back, i scratch yours' :-)

i hope the audio quality is the same as the a81x series or better !! Sony has been doing good for once also with removing sonic stage!

Looks like a cross between the NWZ-816 and 600 series since it's got the brushed metal look but the superior design of the 600 series.

I'm impressed! I like the metatllic finish on the silver and pink ones, gives a retro feel like Sony's older products.

Damn, i had to decide between the Sony A8XX and Samsung T9. Now I'm owning the T9, the decision was based on the T9 blutooth-feature.
And now I want the new Sony!

MTP meaning no option for native drag-n-drop?
Hardly an improvement over SonicStage and the nothing-wrong-with-ATRAC support.

Where do you get this information from? Everything I've read says it only supports MTP. Not the native USB mass storage protocol where it simply looks like a disk. Why must Sony make everything just *slightly* more complicated than they have to? I'm going to sell my D2 but one thing that rocks about it is the simple file management.

I have a sony mp3 player but it's not playing the musics on it and I've lost the software that comes along with it. Infact I'm sick and tired of using my mp3.Whenever I try playing my musics it shows FORMAT ERROR or DMR ERROR.I don't know if I can download the software on net. Pls help me out with the site where I can do the download.
