Walletex Ultra Thin Wallet MP3 Player
The Walletex is currently the thinnest MP3 player this is meant to slip into your wallet next to the Visa card. Although the player is slightly thicker than a credit card, it is still so thin that it requires a USB to phono jack to connect headphones. The player is water proof and dust proof and comes in capacities of 128MB to 2GB. Set to go on sale in June of 2007, the Walletex MP3 player doesn’t look like it will be sold to the public but sold to businesses as a promotional item with the ability to have custom printed logos and graphics on the front of the player.

Wonder what kind of battery it uses... Pretty thin.
I guess the reason for it to be exclusive to businesses is because it will cost so much to produce. And your average consumer wont buy it:)

wow. thats awsome. i would be scared to have it in my wallet because most people keep there wallet in there back pocket so if ur to sit ur big butt down on it, well u might as well start saving up for another one:)

how can it slip through your wallet if the usb to phono jack is at the widthof the mp3 player :/... unless your wallet placed cards that way up....which my wallet doesnt...

Some companies spend quite a lot on freebies. My guess is that it's cheaper than a watch or a very nice set of cufflinks or whatever. If the players get popular, it will probably be with radio station giveaways, promotional events for bands, ect and not a corporate-type gift anyway.

imagine promoting a musician that way, being able to give away the full album, or a few hundred songs, without leaving the giftee any ability to rip the songs off the player, or make them digital and distributable. Sooner or later things like this are going to be real cheap and real prevalent.

The USB headphone deal (or something remarkably similar) is the only way they could do this without modifying the format of the card itself.
Walletex are an Israeli company offering credit card sized USB flash drives in sizes up to 2GB. It looks like they're targeting the "expensive" promotional gift market. When you're spending hundreds of thousands of dollars (or more) then a $100 promotional item is not unusual.

Did everyone already forget about the Sherwood mp3 player?? That's the world's slimmest player. Not this thing with the protruding usb plug. Expect about 5 mw of sound from that wallet thing and distortion.

Does everyone agree that bluetooth headphones ARE the future? I mean, I bet those ***** at Apple are going to come out with it for the ipod.
