More Details on Upcoming Samsung YP-K3
Looks like the rumblings we heard earlier this month about a downgraded Samsung K5 may very well be true.
Information about the upcoming YP-K3 is coming at us at a very slow trickle, but it seems the DAP will so far feature a 1.8-inch OLED and FM tuner. Nothing to get excited about yet, but assuming this isn't a concept photo, it's decent-looking in a candybar phone sort of way. Basically, it's just a K5 without the speakers, but it's still thin and shiny. And that's gotta count for something.
If this is an actual product photo, then official word (including full specs and answers to the ever-important "What's the storage capacity?" and "How much does it cost?" questions) from Samsung is definitely imminent.

well... it does look nice.. but i really comes down to the price and capacity for me..

Looks very sexy but if it's another 2/4 GB offering, forget it. Samsung makes flash memory for heavens sake (incl. the all powerful OneNAND) and is still stuck at 4gbs. I'd be impressed if they just got beyond the 4gb barrier. The Z5, K5, and the T9 all cap out a 4gbs. If they signed a non-compete contract with Apple to gain the 1st gen. Nano memory business, it was truly a bad deal for their player business. What's the point of releasing another flash player that lags behind the competion in memory. Cowon is another company that needs to "step up" with the memory. I'd consider either if they made units with a competitive memory offering.

Hold on a minute!! Samsung make the chips for the nano 8gb. If you look inside one you will find 2x 4gb chips inside. They probably could bring out a 8gb or 16gb flash memory, but it would be toooooo expensive. Definately looks better than anything else on the mp3 market at the moment.............

Awesome looking MP3 I might get this.. or something else, if I could find anything else as perfect. It's only $120 dollars for the 2GB [I don't even KNOW 500 songs!] and its better-looking than the nano! Look at that.. it's all awesome and cool and whatnot. And it won't be as over-used as the iPod! This is definitely waaaay better than the nano! =D

For some time, I have been battling with making a decision in reference to the IPOD Nano and the standard MP3 player. At first when the MP3's came out, they didn't have playlists or a library to organize your favorite songs. You just stored the songs and were limited to 200 to 500 songs.
Well, I did some research. I found the Samsung YP-K3J MP3 Player. I've read the reviews. It received a very good to excellent rating: 4.9 to 5.0.
What caught my eye in the advertisement: Virtual Surround Sound. I decided that I was going to live dangerously. The price on this unit:
119.00 plus tax. I made my order online and paid only 99.00 that came to 105.00.
It is very slim and comes with headphones, a USB plug and software.
When I turned on the MP3 player, I thought I died and went to heaven! The sound was very rich, crisp, excellent bass, no sound distortion and they were not lying when they said Virtual Surround Sound. Great 3-D effects. Songs were easy to download. You can't get a better sound on a CD player or IPOD Nano. Pump up the volume and it feels like your in a Virtual Dance Studio. You're having you're own party and having the the time of your life. It also has a graphic equalizer and a 3D Bass Dyamic Boost for Sound.
The only thing is that you have to find is a Digital Music Store that is compatible with the player.
For those who just want to download alot of music and look for high quality sound without all the fancy features. This perfect for you!

well i read this and almost everyone complains about memory. WHY DO YOU NEED EVEN 1gb? thats over 240 songs. 4 gb, thats crazy, 1000 songs. You dont need that much, plus i bought one of these K3's and its awesome!

i bought one and its a really cool mp3 player its thinner than the ipod. its about time someone challenged the ipod. i like the fact that you can touch things quite easily and not have some dial thing to use. its handy to use anywhere it slips into the pocket nicely.
