RAmos RM400 Media Player
It's only been a handful of weeks since we reported on the RM150 PMP, but RAmos is already gearing up to take off with its upcoming RM400. Given the photo at right, the company is quite pleased with the player's MPEG-4/AVI (up to 24 fps) video support and 2.2-inch 320 x 240 (QVGA) TFT display. And it's understandable. Such specs may be run of the mill in the U.S., but they're an impressive improvement over the majority of devices currently coming out of China.
Like such devices, however, the RM400 has only 512MB of onboard flash memory. Not much room for supported MP3s, JPGs, voice recordings, or games, but the integrated mini SD slot can take on cards up to 2GB.
The device will be available (in China) later this month for what we can only assume will be an incredibly affordable price. Similar Chinese players don't stray far from the $50 mark, so the RM400 shouldn't either.

Whats with all these awsome DAPs coming out of Asia with only flash and expandable memory? They'd make it so much more if they had at LEAST 20gigs in one of them...

20 gigs and they wouldn't be 50$ they would be 250$ and so they wouldn't be able to compete with ipod class devices... I think its cool you can get a video player for 50$, 512mb it's enough for one or two movies anyway so its cool for short roadtrips and similar....
