Cordgo Headphone Cable Manager
Earbuds and headphones usually end up in a tangled mess if you do not make a conscious effort to keep them from wrapping around themselves. There are quite a few gizmos to help you keep them under wraps, like the latest earbud / headphone manager is the Cordgo.
The Cordgo can be used with any headphone, earbud, or any smaller diameter cable. You simply pop off the top, place the cable between the center pin and snap it back together. The headphones can be wrapped completely within the plastic case, but can also be partially wrapped up so that they can be managed while in use. This works particularly well when used on an armband when you don’t need so much slack in the cable.
Check out the photos after the jump to see the Cordgo in action.
You can get the Cordgo directly from the site for five bucks a piece if you buy one get one free for a limited time.

anybody got a suggestion for cheap but decent earbuds??

Not so cheap, but I've got a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-CK7 for $69 from Audiocubes and they are just amazing! They're IEMs (In-Ear Monitors) and have a very good isolation. They do have a strong (but not overwhelming) bass, and the mids and highs are very detailed. To summarize everything about the sound in one word: rich.
Again, they're not so cheap, but I've seen people out there shelling out $300 for Shures and Etys... while they're certainly superb IEMs, I don't feel like spending so much on earphones.

There's no such thing as decent earbuds. Either go with IEMs, or, if you dislike the feel of them, pick up some decent clip-ons (KSC 75 or 35)

Sony makes some decent ones, the in-ear buds. If you're really looking for quality sound (you probably won't be using an mp3 player haha), these are not the best way to go, but for the price (even when not on sale) i'd say they are worth the money.
Fittingly though, Amazon DOES have a sale going on right now for both styles -- get the ESL51's though; the 71's cord is just long enough so with the head phones IN, it reaches to your belly button without the "cord-extension", which is bulky, adds unnecessary weight, and absurdly long.

# Impedance: 16 ohms at 1 kHz
# Sensitivity: 100 dB/mW
# Power Handling Capacity: 100mW
# Frequency Response: 6 - 23,000 Hz
And i would recommend them without too much hesitation, especially with them on sale for almost 1/2 price!

they need to offer some color options, not everyone uses an iPod...
