Tune-Only Zune?
According to a recent article in the New York Post, it appears that the Microsoft Zune may as well be without that huge LCD screen. That's right. When the device starts shipping in the next few months, it may be sans video support.
Microsoft has so far done nothing to reassure anxious consumers that their highly touted "iPod killer" will include what even manufacturers of flash players with microscopic screens consider to be a standard feature. The folks at Apple, meanwhile, are too busy laughing to comment.
What will actually hit store shelves, of course, remains to be seen. And this new rumor only adds to the hype surrounding the player, but still...a Zune with just tunes is quite lame.

They can always add video support later... the iPod didn't acquire video capabilities until last year anyway.

No way. Microsoft isn't that stupid.

i frankly don't care at all about video. i've never understood the desire to watch something on a 2-inch screen. i like the idea of keeping a player music-only while making it as small and sleek as possible while putting out the best sound possible while at the same time jacking it up with as much flash memory as you can pack into it

Don't be silly. It will have video.
