iRiver D25 MP3 Player Dictionary
More reminiscent of a Nintendo DS Lite than of its predecessor, the iRiver D25 is one of those more-than-just-a-dictionary gadgets that are quite the must-have in Asia. The clamshell device opens to reveal a 4.3-inch LCD sporting 260K colors and an English QWERTY keyboard complete with navigation buttons and function keys. And of course no multilingual dictionary would be complete without mp3 playback, FM radio, voice recorder, games, text-to-speech capabilities, and text/photo viewer.
The D25 ships with 1.3GB onboard flash memory and also has a built-in SD/MMC expansion card slot. An included lithium battery will provide 16 hours of dictionary fun and an unspecified amount of time for other activities.
Measuring 5.3 x 3.7 x 0.8 inches, the iRiver D25 will be available next week in Korea for about $400.

a classmate from Korea has one of this, and let me tell you, it's an amazing device, i had a try it seems very helpful, not just because of the dictionaries

I use the d25 - it's great, except that it 'speaks' dictionary words only if they are English or Japanese or Chinese, and not if they are Korean. Also, the manual is Korean, the software (not that it's necessary to use) seems to work only on Hangul windows, and in any case iRiver America doesn't respond to repeated email queries for support. (They don't tell you they don't have what you need, they just ignore you.)
That said, the d25 is a great, multi-talented device, handsomely designed. I use it heavily. And you can upload and download to/from it without the 'supporting' software -- just use Windows Explorer.

I bought it today, Mar 06 2007, via ordering online in Korea, costing me about 280 US dollars. It looks really cool with its 1.3Gb built-in memory. Despite the User Interface is in Korea, Japanese or Chinese but ENGLISH, I found it very helpful, sexy, fashionable, and entertaining as well--I listen to uploaded music while reading books and checking terminologies from it. I would appreciate it even better with a English Manual. Let me know if anyone has it somewhere.

i have an iriver d25 player.
but i have just recently lost my charger and ear phones.
would it be possible to buy those separately?
if yes, how much would it cost?
if no, would you have any idea where i could purchase them?

A friend gave me an iriver D25 japanese dictionary w/MP3 player, circa 2007 or so, that he found. I need a charger. I live in B.C. Canada.
