iFloat Waterproof MP3 Sound Case
Who says water and your favorite digital audio player can't be friends? With Brookstone's waterproof speaker housing, you'll never have to swim or take a shower alone again. Powered by a 9-volt battery, the hard-shell case features a rubber gasket seal that allows your player to float unharmed while connected to a built-in speaker via the headphone jack.
If you're in need of a diving buddy, however, you'd better look elsewhere. The iFloat can withstand just about any weather condition, but it isn't designed for extended aquatic use and it can't be submerged (hence its name).
The iFloat Waterproof MP3 Sound Case is available now for $35.

why is every mp3 accessory have a I in the beggining? i mean seriously, the market has gotta stop the ipod parody and come up with original names.
quiksliver on August 7, 2006 10:51 PM
isn't it specifially for ipods though?
and I'd think apple would have some kind of patent with the name

No, it's not specifically for iPods. It may have that "i" in the beginning of the name, but that's just to get iPod owners' curiousity (or maybe they have some deal with Apple). You can use it with any player that has a headphone/earbud socket.

I dont get it....do you put the plaer or the speaker in the box? and how would it float with a player as heavy as an iPod inside it?

i want to know how large it is. i think it's would be pretty neat to have my mp3 player on the edge of the pool while i swim.

@ atrax
As stated in the post, you put your mp3 player inside of the ifloat, which is protected by rubber gaskets to protect your player from getting wet. Also the ifloat is designed to float on the surface of the water with your player inside of it.

ArtD0dger on September 11, 2006 11:12 PM
Also, can you work the controls while the player is sealed inside? The information at Brookstone is pathetic.

I bought one an used it for canoeing as well as the beach, you can't control it once it is in the case. The battery life is pretty good (9v) and the it can jam pretty good. It is not stereo though.
