Fall Asleep or Wake Up to the Cozy Tunes Pillow

tunes-pillow.jpg

For those of you who like to fall asleep to music and you have ten bucks burning a hole in your pocket then here is a product for you. Probably not the most hi-fi set up, but the Cozy Tunes Pillow will plug into any audio source with it’s standard headphone jack.

The product page only suggests the pillow to be used to fall asleep, it could also be used as an alarm hooked into your alarm enabled MP3 player. There are quite a few players that have alarms including the new iRiver Clix, but I never saw the point hooking up all kinds of speakers beside the bed. Now this is a quick and easy solution, just don’t wrap the cord around your neck tossing and turning.

pretty neat but does it have to be in the form of a throw pillow/couch pillow. I think it would be better if it was the shape of a bed pillow.

just a thought.

curos on May 25, 2006 11:13 AM

i think its supposed to look like a speaker?

Scott Rubin on May 25, 2006 11:14 AM

Radio Shack Pillow speaker has been available for years and years and years. Screw this pillow.

chooch on May 25, 2006 11:16 AM

It looks a bit too much like a hemroid pillow...

cbreaker on May 25, 2006 11:16 AM

Sweet, now I can strangle myself on sound cables while I sleep.

Rafgar on May 25, 2006 11:18 AM

I'd end up strangling myself with the cord...

birdDogdigital on May 25, 2006 11:22 AM

Sweet. I'll try to get one and talk about it on the podcast.

At least I'll choke to trance music. (Or Katharine McPhee.)

Steve on May 25, 2006 11:41 AM

I don't think the cord is long enough to choke yourself on.

Anyone else see the romantic possibilities here? She lays her head down and BAM! Barry White starts.

evan on May 25, 2006 8:02 PM

They had that pillow at Brookstone. You can't sleep on it. It is tiny, and the speaker in the center is not padded at all and is really hard

jeff on May 28, 2006 1:04 AM

Nothing new here. I had a bed pillow like that when I was a kid, that was like 10-15 years ago. I used to hook my walkman up to it. It was great until the stuffing inside flattened, and I had two little speakers poking my head.

Liz on June 26, 2006 5:39 PM

  • SanDisk Sansa Clip
    SanDisk Sansa Clip

The Clip has a fantastic little form factor; cheap in build quality but very rugged. The interface is simple and relatively straight forward. The features on the clip are more or less average, mostly identical to the Sansa Express. However, what earns this player a spot in Editor’s Choice is the superb sound quality; you will not find another player at this size and price that can match it. Read the full review or go ahead and buy it.

  • Samsung P3
    Samsung P2

The Samsung P2 was a success and the P3 is a very welcome and substantial update. Samsung has paid close attention to users on P2 issues and made great strides in addressing and improving most of them. The best feature of the P3 is its native video support. Most content you thow at it will playback without conversion on the great looking screen. Stop by the Samsung P3 forums for more details or check out our indepth P3 review.

  • Microsoft Zune 120
    Samsung P2

Sure, many of us are not big fans of the walled garden, but there are a lot of great things going on with the Zune- sturdy hardware, ultra easy to use user interface, and a media player that is worthy of editor’s choice. The best part of the Zune is the constant firmware and software updates virtually giving you a new device at each major refresh. You can check out the latest Zune 120 & 16 review or stop by our Zune forums for the latest.

  • Cowon iAudio D2
    Cowon iAudio D2

The D2 is a fantastic sounding PMP with a very nice looking screen and a tone of features. One of the best features of the D2 is the SDHC slot allowing you to add another 32GB to this small wonder. The touch interface does not lend well to on the move operation, but it is not enough to keep it from being an editor’s choice. You can find usually find it at Amazon for the best price and before to check out the review.

  • Phonak Audéo PFE
    Phonak PFE

Phonak Audéo PFE offer outstanding clarity and precision; natural, dynamic mids and treble, and decent bass for a single armature in-ear phone. They handle dense, complex music very well. The PFE work well with most acoustic and some electronic music genres, but bassheads might have to look at other alternatives. They're great for sports as well, since they fit very securely.
