I am already using the DAH-1500i 1GB in Blue color and let me tell you one thing. Every day I go outside at LEAST one person will ask me about it and comment how cool it is! Literally EVERY day. Usually people ask "Is this the new iPod?" :) Now I don't know if this is good or bad but it is definately drawing a lot of attention!

Now the player has some more bugs. In my case I cannot create arbitrarily deep folder structures. I can only have one directory deep hierarchy which is kinda limiting. I am sure this will be addressed in a future firmware.

One more thing is that player makes some pops and clicks when you rewind to the begining of a song. Lastly it DOES NOT support fast forward or reverse on VBR encoded mp3s. This is annoying indeed.

I also verified that the player wont play Napster2go or Yahoo Unlimited but as far as I know the player is based on the Sigmatel 35xx series of chips which in theory can support subscription services.

I am keeping the player cause of it's coolness factor and because it's NOT an Apple iPod! Now if only MobiBLU starts releasing some firmware upgrades ...

I just did a firmware upgrade to 100.100.105 today. I still can't put the music in the order I want. Somebody please confirm this firmware upgrade can fix the alphabetical problem or not. Because I heard from a guy said that customer support told him to upgrade to 105 to fix this problem. Thank you. =)

The alphabetical problem has not been fixed in the newest firmware as of 100.100.105. I agree, it is very annoying. This problem was not present in the Eropen version the 1500, so i know it can be fixed with a firmware upgrade.

I have brought it to thier attention, so hopefully they will do somthing about it soon

Well my question is, what was fixed/added in firmware 105? The only new thing I can find is the language selection but other than that it's the same features. Are there any bug fixes? Mobiblu better set up a better web site with forums cause the way it is we can't get any info.

Where can I buy the cases that I see - the Hello Kitty, Snoopy, and blobby red things ones? They fit over the mp3 almost as a skin... but I can't find them in North America or Europe, the seem to be on mainly Korean language sites. Anybody want to take a guess? Any leads?

I just got mine last Tuesday and ran it through its paces. On its first day at work, it lasted a few minutes shy over 8 hrs. Next day with SRS-WOW enhancements on, it lasted a little over 7 hrs (great sound-quality/bass dymics with Sony MDR-EX51LP ear buds). The interesting thing is that the volume level remained stable up to the last bar. It just gives a quick "low battery" message before turning off. For its size, it's an excellent performer.

Actually, there's a work-around for the play order.

Just type the track number before the file name rather than in the middle. That is to say if you're listening to whole albums in their own folders.

I wouldn't recommend the player as recording device for anything but personal memos. The mic is actually just a tiny hole on the bottom of the player, so I doubt you'll pick up much from long distances.

A HD based player with an external mic would be better suited for such tasks.

the quetion I have is how do I know its charging? I have the unit off or on and when i plug it into the USB connection it turns the screen on and says ready.. There is an italic "N" on the battery symbol and thats it...

I have left it in close to 4 hours and still cant figure this out? Is it done or not?

When its plugged into the USB there should a icon showing it is connected. You will know its charging when it looks like this.

Mine has never once looked like the picture you posted... All it ever does is show a similar looking picutre with no arrows and it says ready at the top...

This mp3 player looks great. But, I was wondering about 2 things:
1. Is there a car charger for it and
2. If the battery goes dead can it be replaced or do you have to buy a new mp3 player.
I'm thinking about asking for this one for x-mas and I want to know everything about it that there is to know before I decide on the mp3 player that I want for x-mas.

It seems as though the alphabetical track order problem is because the navigation only sorts the songs in alphabetical order according to the first 5 or so characters of the mp3 name. so if your mp3's are like this: Artist - Track # - Song Title, it will not seem to alphabetize them at all. however, if you name your mp3's track # - Artist - Song Title, it will alphabetize then normally. This was very annoying when trying to copy my ripped CD to the menu, as the cd order was not retained unless i renamed all of the mp3's.

I just received this today and all I can say is, WOW. Thislittle thing is amazing. Puts other flash mp3 players to shame. The sound is great with cheap $15 head phones, and I love the size of the display along with the size of the player.

I am considering buying this adorable little cube, but I have one question: can it hold other file types, such as .jpg and .txt files? I would probably use it as much for storage/transferring as I would for listening to music. If it cannot do this, I may consider buying a different player.

I just bought the mobiBLU DAH-1500S from the Source formaly known as Radio Shack. I'm not a avid buyer but when I saw it and was informed it had a gigabit of both storage and MP3 capabilities and that he had only one left I bought it hands down, especially since it was so small and lightwieght. Great device, tried to install some firmware from http://www.mobibluamerica.com/support.html but the directions which I followed worked up untill its suppose to tell me to say ok to this new upgrade. Great sound quality especially on my Sennheiser PMX 60's which is far better then Sony hands down. MobiBLU is another great example of why we shouldn't go with brand names just because of a bias media. Its everything I need for both sports and office and althou I was unfortunate to live in Canada and not either the U.S or Europe I dont get that radio which from what I hear has little to no reception anyways, and instead of my MP3 player powering a half par radio all my power is saved for my owm music which I think about is why I bought it in the first place.

I just got mine from Walmart.com and I must say I like it better than my ipod mini because its cute, pink, small, and the battery lasts longer than on my ipod mini.....amazing sound and amazing performance from such a small package... at the price of right under a hundred bucks how could you go wrong?? Somebody asked a few days ago about the battery issue. I agree....if the battery does not hold charge anymore is it possible to replace it? And in case it is possible to do so where can someone get this battery, being the size so special.
Also, I am reading a lot about the order of the songs, how they are played by the device; if I just transfer a bunch of songs the player will it order them into an alphabetical order? Any way around this so I can decide which song goes where? Can it be solved by typing a number before the song title? Please advise

Battery: I would say No the batter is not replacable. However, I am still trying to find out where to buy the batteries that are in the player. Theoretically, it is possible, but extreamly hard.

Song List: The alphabetical problem occurs when you have really long file names. Then the Cube will not play the tracks in the right order. You can however rename the tracks to have the track numbers first, then it will play them in order.

It requires a sync cable, therefore it isn't comparible to the shuffle....

Extremely interested in purchasing one of these little guys. Will it be compatible with USB 1.1? I don't have 2.0 on any system. I know the plain DAH-1500 is supposed to be 1.1, but I see the DAH-1500i is USB 2.0 and that concerns me. It's backwards compatible, right? :) Thanks!

I received my pink 1500i 1gb a few days ago from Walmart. I adore it :o) The sound quality is excellent, and the radio works surprisingly well for me (note: you have to hold it in your hand to get the best reception).



My other computer only has USB 1.1 compatibility and the unit works just fine - it simply takes longer to transfer files, obviously.



The necklace headphones work great when you're listening to it because there is very little chance that the unit will fall or get pulled off (hiding it under your sweatshirt also helps if, say, it's raining outside).



When I'm not using it, I put it inside a plush cellphone pouch to keep it from getting damaged, then I just toss it in my purse or wherever. The pouch is just big enough to comfortably hold the unit, the headphones, and a small keychain I attached to the lanyard.

If I by the US version from Walmart, would I have any issues using it in Europe?

No there should not be any problems using it in Europe, there are no special chargers, since is charges by USB.

Can I use it with Linux OS (Fedora) ?

I dont consider myself as a techno-phobe yet but I am having some problems with the menu system. While i am playing music how do I always get back to the menu items (e.g. sound, set-up etc)? Often, when I click the menu button I get taken to the directory structure. Then how do I get to the menu items once that is up? If I click menu again, it just selects the folder I am on and, even more annoyingly, if I press and hold the menu button at this point (with the directoroes visible) I get the message "all play songs" and it does exactly that, stops the song I am listening to and jumps to the root of the player to play all songs! It's driving me mental! I'm probably doing something wrong as I have not seen any other posts on this issue but if anyone can help - please drop me a line.

1500i (US version) comes with only USB so you can only charge it while plugging it to computer's USB port. although there is a seperate accessory available at boxwave.com for wall ac charger and car charger.

I see the way you transfer the songs is to just put them on the player as if the player is a mass storage device. I would like to know if storing jpegs, docs and other such files on it affects the performance at all, or does it just skip over those files?

Discovered a couple of new bugs:



In addition to playing long filenames in reverse-alphabetical order, the DAH-1500i isn't capable of fast-forwarding and rewinding through a VBR-MP3.



There's also one minor bug: some VBR files are being displayed as 128K, although when you call some other function (for example, songlist), and then get back to the default screen, the bitrate is being displayed correctly.

P.S. I DIDN'T upgrade my firmware. My version is 100.100.100. If somebody notices that the above-mentioned bugs have already been fixed in the version 100.100.105, please let me know.

I did upgrade, and you can scan through VBR songs, though you can't listen to them as you scan.

Yes, you can store any kind of files.. doc, xls, jpgs., zips.. It will just skip over to next wma or mp3 while in playing mode.

As the above poster, I'd like to know how the battery-life (how many recharges it takes before dying) and if there's any chance of replacing it when thta happens? I'd hate to have to buy another player when that happens.

as far ar battery recharging.. Initially before first use I let battery charge for about 3 hr.s as they mention in manual.. although it showed full charge indicator after 2 hours.. after that it chargrs to full capacity in about an hour..
still no idea on replacing the battery when runs out of juice. I haven't had guts to unscrew the player to see all guts in inside the cube to see how easy/hard the battery replacement is... maybe someone else can share that info..

I just ordered mine a couple days ago, but I'm assuming standard USB charging equipment will work fine with the MobiCube (as I prefer to call it, since they can't come up with a decent name).

So, a little less hideous than the BoxWave options, and less expensive, you can find 3rd party chargers meant for the iPod Shuffle on Ebay (try link below) for only $7+$7 shipping. And that's for both car and home. I'm just assuming USB power is going to be the same regardless of device; the BoxWave items certainly look generic too. Umm... I don't know if those particular custom cases need to come over here any time soon, but I'm sure that, given its surging popularity, it'll only be a few months before a rush of MobiBlu Cube accessories and customizations hit the U.S. Reviews that tested the unit listed battery life as lasting between 8 and 9 hours, depending on volume level, screen use, etc. Not great, but it's the only downside, and it's not that bad anyway.

i was wondering if you can.. charge and listen to it via a headphone jack splitter.. or whatever they are called.. you know.. 1 leads to 2 kinda thing..and an ac charger if you can't via usb.... or would it damage the player?? any ideas?

No you could not charge it with a splitter beause is goes in to "charge mode" when it is plugged into USB or charger.

I just got my dah-1500i yesterday, and I can't get windows explorer to copy any type of file onto it. I charged it for 3 hours (as recommended in the instructions) before turning it on. The pre-loaded songs work fine, and the FM radio works as well. My computer recognizes it as an external USB mass storage device when I plug it into the USB 2.0 port, but when I try to copy a file to it, it just gives me an error that says: "Error Copying File or Folder". I tried resetting the cube, rebooting my computer, etc. to no avail. I am using Windows XP, SP2. Anyone else run into this problem?

I got mine yesterday too, and haven't had any trouble with copying files over. The first time I did it, Windows Media Player offered to 'automatically' decide what to put on it, so I gave it a shot, just to see. WMP creates a directory structure that's too deep for the Mobi, but the transfers did work. Since then I've done it normally, through explorer.

I'm very disappointed with the FM radio reception, however. The main reason I won't get an iPod is because I listen to the radio often, and now find that a pretty strong local station won't come through at all on the Mobi cube. Does anyone have any suggestions for headphones that give better reception?

Bako: I believe that the wire on the headphones acts as the antenna for the FM radio. I am using a set of Sony earbud headphones that work a whole lot better than the supplied (cloth-wrapped) earphones. So, try using a different set of headphones with the cube and see if that makes a difference.

Well, mine stopped working after 1 month, and the manufacturer has the worst customer service... Actually no customer service at all. So after trying fo 3 weeks, I returned it to Walmart. I think many people are having the same problem as me. Although a cool player, I wouldn't recommend it.

For me, the radio sound quality is lacking more because the headphone plug fits loosely into the input jack. If you push the earphones all the way into the jack, you hear nothing. You have to wiggle the plug out a bit and then it works okay...at least until you move around too much. This just can't be what they intended.

Did anyone else have this problem? I just bought this and will exchange it for another one as the one I received may be a dud.

It's a hardware connection problem. When you push in the headphone plug into the jack, there seem to be two levels. The "deeper" level is for the USB plug and the "more shallow" level is for the headphones. The headphones plug simply fits loosely into the jack. It's like the hole on the unit is too big for the plug and therefore the sound is interrupted when the whole unit is jostled. The sound also goes on and off when you wiggle the headphone cord. Not a very good feature since the goal was to use it when jogging. Is your mobiblu behaving the same way? - AP14

2 AP14: No, that's not correct. Take the usb charger in your hand and compare the "audio" jack with the ordinary audio jack of your headphones. You'll notice a couple more contact areas on the USB charger jack. That's why the issue is not the "levels", but contact areas. When you plug your headphones, they don't have the contact with power/data areas of the player.

In any case mine works just fine with ANY headphones. No interruptions.

As far as the battery questions, once this thing is dead, its dead. Don't expect a replacement or any support, regardless of how nice their website looks, this thing is made cheaply en masse in Korea...

Their reps told me this morning at the Podcast convention in Ontario, California, that they will most certainly replace batteries when they wear out, and that they do not intend that process to be a money-maker for them. Ballpark figure is about $35 for a battery replacement.

what is firmware?

Firmware is the embeded software in hardware in this case the MP3 player. Think of it as the operating system that runs the MP3 player. Firmware is stored in the hardwares ROM which can be updated by "flashing" it, or erasing the ROM and writing to it again.

You can shuffle the songs on the DAH-1500i as well.

To whomever was asking: The cube supports Chinese, Japanese, and Korean languages for the file names, but I don't think it is able to show the menus in any foreign languages.

with the latest firmware 100.100.105 you can choose between english/german/italian/spanish/... for the user interface.

Ordered my 1500i from Walmart.com today. As for the song order issue, so many have mentioned, if the firmware does not fix it, and you loath manually renaming your MP3s with track numbers in front of them, download iTunes! iTunes can organize all your filenames, folders and tags according to what you enter in the library and the format you give it. Then just take your properly filenamed songs and folders and run with them. Just an idea...

I don't have this yet, and I'm only 12. This is going to be the very first MP3 player that I'm getting. (For Christmas) Is this a good 1st MP3 player to get?

I just bought one of the 1500i's and I'm having a little trouble. I have stockpiles of songs my wife has downloaded from Walmart, they are in a protected wma format. I can't get any of them to play, however they are suppose to be supported. The songs are recognized by the player, they just won't play. Any suggestions? I have XP pro with MP 10.

I think this is the cutest thing I've ever seen. But I don't like the rechargeable battery (unless I could buy a spare) and I don't like the exclusive distribution from Wal-mart. Mobiblu did write me and I think indicated that the players would be available from other sellers after Christmas.

How does the MobiBLU DAH-1500i sound compare to the ipod shuffle? Does anyone know about how long the battery will last? And does anyone have experience with the replacement plans from wal-mart? A one year plan is $5.88 and a three years plan is $14.33, but will they replace the player if the battery dies? Download music at any store that sells in the correct format. I don't think this player is one of the microsoft PlayForSure products, so meh. Just take some of your CDs, and use a ripper to rip them as whatever file type you want to your computer, and then drag them to your player. If you wanted to download music for free, don't since it's illegal. Go to some online store that sells in the correct format, or an easily convertable one. Remember that some store's DRM doesn't work too well on the Cube, so be careful.

It took me 2 hours sitting at a walmart store talking between the customer service and the walmart.com 1-800 person because they don't know how to return it because we couldn't find the slip on the box, even though I had the walmart.com receipt and my bank statement. The second time I bought it, the whole unit broke within 1 week. I spent 1 hour and 2 trips to Walmart because the packaging slip was a "GIFT RECEIPT" and they would not take a gift receipt until I came back with a bank statement, the online receipt and demanded to talk to a manager. A friend of mine had also ordered the 1 GB version and it defuncted within 3 weeks. I've lost some $20+ on this thing because WALMART.COM does not refund shipping. Therefore if your unit breaks and it's not your fault, you still have to pay for shipping for the new item and you forefit shipping costs of the previous order. I even contacted mobiBlu about their service warranty and haven't heard from them for 2 MONTHS!

When the player worked, it was fine. Decent signal/noise ratio low THD levels. I do not recommend buying this unless mobiBlu switches distributors to a more reliable source other than walymart.

I wanted to purchase this for my daughter who is 12 years old. Can you just download the songs I already have on my computer?

What song formats work on this player? I tried itunes as my children have ipods and the songs wouldn't play on my Mobiblu. Also, I use this in the gym and the FM antenna does not work there. It works in my home, however. Can I try different headphones or do you have another suggestion to boost the signal? If I use different headphones, I can't wear it as a necklace. Is there a clip available for it?

I hope this product is more reliable than what Quatin has said. I'm a clumsy college student and probably need a durable yet stylish mp3 player and i plan on getting this one soon. So is anyone elses malfunctioning?

I am getting one for christmas but im worried that I will not be able to put the music i have already downloaded on my computer on to the player...any idea if it will work with it?

I just got a mobiBLU DAH-1500S from The Source in Vancouver, Canada. I can't see a way to get songs onto it as my computer is not recognizing it as an mp3 player - I have Windows XP. The battery needs recharging and that may be why I can't get songs on it yet, but I am not sure. I'm going to play with it for a few days, and if I can't get it going, I will take it back to the store.

Hi! Everyone, I had the same problem: wouldn't charge or load the file from the disk. I got mine today too and was a little upset. The problem I had is that I didn't push the USB cord in far enough. It seemed like I was going to break it if I pushed harder but the entire silver part of the tip should be in. Once you get it all the way plugged in the computer will recognize it, charge it, and you can update the firmware (load the file from the disk).

Would you recommend the mobiblu over the iPOD shuffle? Stupid question to ask on this website but I need an honest answer since those are the only options I have. I've been doing a lot of research and comparing and I really don't know. I am leaning more towards the mobiblu since it has a visable navigation screan, and I imagine the iPOD shuffle is kinda like being blind, but from what I've read there seems to be a big number of complaints about the mobiblu so I really don't know. Someone help me out, please. Would greatly appreciate it, thanks.

James, I would rather get a MobiBlu just because it has many more functions than the iPod Shuffle and also because I think it works fine. I got mine a week ago and I've been using it a lot, and it charges easily, plays music well(good quality headphones), records your voice (that's also a fine quality), and many more settings you can adjust. I honestly do not know how well the Shuffle works because I don't own it, but it's a good bet that most people would favor the MobiBlu.

I bought a black one before Christmas from Walmart.com because it included the AC adaptor so that I could charge it when traveling without having to plug it into a computer. I have found that when it is charging the icon for the battery is just solid white. It doesn't indicate the level of the charge. The only way I can find to check is to unplug it and then it shows the battery level?? Maybe I am not letting it charge all of the way up to where it should show the "n" and ready, but the battery shows the bars indicating it is charged fully.
I am a novice when it comes to music files etc. I have found it VERY helpful to have gotten a reference book on the Windows Media Player since the MobiBlu doesn't come with it's own software.
Also I have a really ignorant question. When the files or the radio is playing after a few seconds the screen goes blank but the music continues to play. It no longer indicates the song or radio station. Is this what is supposed to happen or is there a snazzy file I am missing that says MobiBlu or something?

I am returning both of mine tomorrow. One lasted 20 minutes and the display crashed. The other is beginning to show signs of problems. (vertical gaps in the display) I tried to reformat,reset, install
the firmware etc. the display still has gaps on one and the other plays for 10-20 minutes and then the
display crashes and it stops playing.... no support
via e-mail...and no one answers the phone support...
THEY REALLY SUCK....

I have the same problem Tom, but I'm back home in Australia now and am not holding my breath about getting any international tech support from Walmart. I have vertical and horizontal gaps in the display, which first appeared after using the player for only a few hours. They are getting worse - I'm hoping there's some way to fix it without dealing with Walmart.. :S any suggestions?

Wish I could help, but customer support doesn't respond to any e-mail and they do NOT answer the phone. I may try to re-install the firmware...even
though others have said it doesn't help. I think the display problem will only get worse... it is a hardware type of defect. That is, the display (organic light emitting diodes OLED's) are a relatively new thing and seem prone to failure.
If I can re-install the firmware and fix the display problem I will post again...with the results. Not much help for now.

I have the number for the Australian distributor of the mobiblu products, but they don't seem to be working this week, so will keep trying. The thing with that is that the cubes are not yet available here and the Australian distributor re-markets the mobiblu products under a different name...(so even if they are helpful, they can't replace this product).

Walmart's website is pretty hazy on the return policy, it says that for electronics ("computer hardware" but there doesn't seem to be a more fitting category for the cube) returns have to be within 15 days of purchase, in which case I can't go down that track anyway - it takes that long to post things to the states from here!

MobiBlu DAH-1500i - Workaround (fix, soultion,) for problem with tracks playing back out of order (not alphabetical playback:)

(Mine came with the 100.100.105 bios, (and the AC charger.)) I read somewhere re-copying tracks back to the player in order, might make them play in order. I did that, it didn't work, my tracks were still out of order.

I put an 'a' and a 'b' and a 'c' etc in front of track filenames in one folder, and a '01' and a '02' and a '03' etc in front of track filenames in another folder, and the player put them in order. So it does playback tracks alphabetically, it's just that IT CAN ONLY ALPHABETIZE TO THE SIXTH CHARACTER, (which I figured out by trial and error!) So good news, you can control your playlist order! Please let others know this! I couldn't find any info on it anywhere on Google.

The MobiBlu DAH-1500i with the 100.100.105 bios: ONLY ALPHABETIZES TO THE SIXTH CHARACTER.

So, my little player MUST be recharging its battery despite the screen not appearing like this one. here

...because while it says "Ready", there's also an image of a battery with an "n" (for electricity) in it. And, of course, while it's like this I'm transferring music on and off at the same time.

I still feel like there's something amiss =0/ since it isn't like the screen shown on the website.

Just got this - and I LOVE IT.

1000X better than any apple product. Plus, it just shows up on a windows PC as a removable drive - just like a flash card for a camera or a thumb drive.

Hi all, I'm new to MP3 and not too tech savvy at that. I got a 1500i for xmas and started playing with it. I use an iBook with OS X and iTunes. I loaded 33 songs (after changing them to MP3) onto the cube and filled it. I erased all the files. The display on the cube says it has 990 mb, but my desktop says there's only 166 mb available (after I erased everything). Am I missing something? Is there something taking up 700+ mb of memory that I can't see? I tried resetting it to no avail. I like my cube, but I want it to hold more than 33 tracks. Please help!

For some reason I cannot even download songs onto my cube. I have tried installing and re-installing the CD (which only contains the MP3 Update, right?) and try to copy and paste songs into the removable disk and formatting it, but my cube keeps saying "No File." I've been doing this for two days now, and I can't get it to work. Am I doing something wrong? Please help! I've never had an mp3 player before!

Arrggggggggghhh... I'm going to chuck this thing against the wall. I guess I accidentally got something when I opened Windows Media Player while the USB/cube was connected, as I got a pop up screen that said it was going to synchronize my music tracks onto the player (which it did, onto the Removable Disk file), but then I tried formatting it, and nothing happened again! It still says "no file." Someone please help me. What am I doing wrong?

Ok I got a mobiBlu 1500i for christmas and when I put it into my USB port it says it isnt recognized. I have Windows XP Service Pack 2. I've called my computer company (Dell) and researched on microsoft.com about this problem and I haven't found any answers. It just won't work. It works on my sister's comp, which is the same as mine, but it won't work on mine. I'm getting really frustrated. If I can't get this fixed I'm going to take it back. Someone please help me!!!!

I have the same problem that you do. My mobiBlu doesn't work on my home computer, but it works fine every time on my office computer (both Dells). I talked to someone at Dell support that actually helped me out. My computer was trying to assign the same drive letter to the mobiBlu as another USB component I had plugged in. He gave me a procedure that (sort of) fixed the problem.
1. Restart your computer;
2. Hit F2 at the Dell Logo screen;
3. Turn on Num Lock, Caps Lock and Scroll Lock;
4. In the new screen that comes up, press the following key combinations:
ALT and E;
ALT and F;
ALT and B;
5. If your computer does not restart itself, press ESC and save the changes and exit.

Let me know if this helps you out.

I just bought one of the 1500i's and I'm having a little trouble. I have stockpiles of songs my wife has downloaded from Walmart, they are in a protected wma format. I can't get any of them to play, however they are suppose to be supported. The songs are recognized by the player, they just won't play. Any suggestions? I have XP pro with MP 10.

I had the same problem with my cube displaying "no file" after it looked like music downloaded perfectly. I sent an email to Mobiblu, but never got a response. I'm going to return this one. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! I see a few others have had the same problem.

My 13 year old daughter just purchased one tonight. Unfortunately only one was left in the store and it was BLUE, and NOT PINK, as she had wanted LOL. This is one AMAZING player!!! I loaded the included software on my PC, immediatly updated it from MobiBLU's website, and reformatted this little cube. I have had no problems with song downloads whatsoever. I had many already on my PC and my daughter had a music giftcard from Walmart and all these downloaded and played flawlessly. I LOVE it!!! My daughter has been giving me the "dad, it's my MP3 player, NOT yours" looks all night because I can't quit playing with it!!! All the features blow me away and navigating the menu is a breeze. I highly reccomend this product to anyone looking for a quality player.

I must agree totally with Kevin! Great player...just awesome. I experimented with plugging in computer speakers in the player, and it works just like any other cd player or stereo. Yeah, the sound's a bit smaller than cd players, but it's pretty nice. You can listen to music anywhere and share it with others at the same time.

I highly recommend it. And plus, it's made in Korea!! Great craftmanship, those Koreans :D

It seems like I'm the only one who has this problem....

According to reviews, my DAH-1500i is supposed to be able to recognize an unlimited number of folders. This is not the case. No matter what I do, I can only get it to see 50 folders. I tried uploading 260 some-odd songs, in 121 folders (I like to have the folders so I can choose songs by one specific artist and not have to scroll through 260 raw mp3s). It only "sees" 101 songs in 50 folders when in reality there are 260 songs in 121 folders. I know they're on the device, because I can see them when I explore the drive in windows. Any way I can get this thing to see all my songs? I'm going crazy. Maybe a firmware upgrade (or downgrade?) would help. Currently have 100.100.105. Thanks in advance.

Connect the DAH-1500i USB Cable to the Computer.


Press "PLAY" Button first and then press "RST" Reset Button for 3-5 seconds at the same time.


Computer will recognize the MP3 Player.


Click "START" to begin Updating the Firmware.


After the firmware update, Turn on the MP3 Player and Start to listen to your favorite music.




Q. Why are some WMA files (Songs from Walmart)not playing in my DAH-1500i MP3 Player?


When WMA have been protected within Windows Media Player, the files are then unable to be copied and sent to the MP3 player.


This will cause the files to be seen, and will not appear or playback within the MP3 player.


To play and transfer DRM WMA supported Files :


Windows XP (Pro – Home)[Using Windows Media Player version 9.0]




1.) UNCHECK THE PROTECT CONTENT BOX.


Open Windows Media Player and go to Tools / Options / Copy Music.


Once Copy Music, un-check the option titled 'Protect Content’.


Click on ‘Apply’ then Click ‘OK’.




2.) Transfer DRM WMA file from the PC to MP3 Player.


Connect the USB cable to your MP3 Player.
Open “ Windows Media Player ”.


On the left hand side, Click “Copy to CD or Device”


Drag & Drop the WMA DRM files on the left column side underneath where it says ‘Items to Copy’(drag & drop the selected WMA DRM files).


On the Right column where it says ‘Items on Device’, select the “Removable Disk Drive (Drive)”.


(The Removable drive is your MP3 drive).


Click “Copy” on the top right hand side.


( The WMA DRM files will be copy directly to your MP3 device ).


Unplug the USB cable and enjoy listening to your wma files.

I'm having the same problem as mrgarr. I put about 4 cd's worth of music onto my cube and then it said it was full part of the way through a 5th cd. I'm thinking that my problem has to do with the format the songs. I'm thinking that they're in the same format that comes off of a regular cd and not in the proper mp3 format. (When I burn cd's they are not in mp3 format.) Could this format issue be my problem?

I love almost everything about this player. my only problem is the lack of a belt clip/armband. when i purchased the cube i envisioned it's main use as an mp3 player to use while i work out, but that is made difficult by the lack of a belt clip. i emailed mobiblu before purchasing the cube and they ensured me that the accesory would be released by them soon. however it is nearly 2 months later and i have not found one to be available. is anyone aware of a belt clip and/or arm band available for the cube?

Matt: It works real well for me at the gym just by using the necklace and tucking it into my shirt.

Or you can pick up a armband from another brand such as SanDisk. It's so small it will fit into nearly anything.

this makes me happy, i got it yesterday aand ahve been listening nonstop- it will only play mp3 and not m4a. i use a mac, and i had an ipod but it got stolen but i wish i wouldve gotten this before my ipod. the necklace thing is really awkward and i dont think anyone will actually be wearing it, so i'mi gooing to be searching for headphones soon. it makes me so happy and yeah.. the N is for when its charging, when its done, it will show a picture of a whole battery. i never really read the instructions unless i got fustrated.. like trying to get to the menu... with the music/fm/settings/etc... yeahh you hold the button highly recomended- really small and cute and addictign!
