The History of MP3 Players
Here is a more recent article on the History of MP3 Players.
When we were kids we could only hold 8 songs on our MP3 players
It sounds like what I heard, “when we were kids we only had 4 television channels to watch ” Well the first MP3 player could only hold about 8 songs in its 32MB of flash memory. The MPMan F10, manufactured by Elger Labs, sold for about $250 back in 1998. The player featured support for a 25-to-18 pin parallel cable and could play for about 6 hours on a single AA battery.
Antiqueradio.com has a two part article on the history of MP3 players. Very interesting to think that some day we will see these in kids text books well “e-text books” I guess.
